While Cech appeared to be the only major fantasy injury concern of the international break, there were more casualties with Bendtner, Djourou and Sagna adding to a growing list of injuries down at the Emirates.

Those contemplating next weekend’s FPL captaincy meanwhile, may well be swayed by the fact that Adebayor rattled in four goals for Togo yesterday.

That’s almost proof that it’s not all dull for fantasy managers during the break. Here’s a summary of how the rest of the Premiership’s finest have faired so far this weekend…

No injury concerns from England’s win over Kazakhstan – apart from Ashley Cole’s pride of course. Rooney’s goals continued his impressive run of form, while Defoe also continued his impressive scoring streak with the fifth goal. Staying in England’s group, Croatia drew 0-0 in the Ukraine with Corluka and Modric starting for Bilic’s side. Both completed the 90 minutes.

Ronaldo and Nani both started for Portugal against Sweden. Nani was subbed on 86 minutes, Ronaldo completed the match. Chelsea pair Bosingwa and Ferreira also got a full 90. Elmander played for Sweden in the same match which ended 0-0.

Dan Agger got a full 90 minutes under his belt and scored a spot kick, as Denmark saw off Malta 3-0. Villa’s Laursen also completed the match. Arsenal’s Bendtner missed the game with an ankle injury and is a doubt for the U21 play-off match with Serbia on Wednesday. He could therefore miss Arsenal’s clash with Everton at the weekend. With Van Persie also carrying a knock, could this open the way for Vela to make his first Premiership start?

Another player reportedly carrying an injury was West Ham’s Behrami but he was fit enough to complete the full match for Switzerland as they beat Latvia 2-1. Arsenal’s Djourou also started that one but was subbed at half-time with concussion. He is a doubt for Wednesday’s qualifier with Greece so he will go into the weekend a doubt for Arsenal.

Bolton’s Smolarek completed the 90 for Poland as they edged out the Czech Republic. Chelsea’s Petr Cech started in goal in opposition. As we know, Cech suffered a thigh injury in that game and is out of Wednesday’s game with Slovenia.

Benayoun and Ben Haim both started for Israel in their 3-1 in Luxembourg. Benayoun was subbed with 4 minutes to go.

Chelsea’s Michael Ballack got through 90 minutes for Germany in their 2-1 win over Russia and scored what turned out to be the winner. Tottenham’s Pavlyuchenko missed the game with an injury as reported earlier.

West Brom’s Robert Koren got through the 90 for Slovenia in their win over Northern Ireland, while team-mate Marek Cech played the full game for Slovakia in their win at San Marino. Meanwhile, Jaaskelainen, Hyypia, Kallio and Tainio all played for Finland in their narrow win over Azerbaijan and Pogatetz and Scharner both completed the full game for Austria in their 1-1 draw with the Faroe Islands.

Wales started with Tottenham pair Gunter and Bale, in addition to Fulham’s Davies, Wigan’s Koumas and Craig Bellamy of West Ham. Bellamy managed 81 minutes before being subbed in the 2-0 win over Liechtenstein, missing a penalty on the stroke of half-time. City’s Ched Evan’s came off the bench before the hour-mark and scored the second goal.

Spain started with Liverpool’s Torres and Alonso, both of which completed the the 90, while Riera was on the bench and came on with 12 minutes left. Fabregas was also on the bench and saw action with 20 minutes remaining.

Man City’s Kompany and Everton’s Fellaini both got through 90 minutes for Belgium in their 2-0 win over Armenia. Fellaini getting the second goal just before half time.

Sagna lined up for France against Romania alongside Evra and Malouda and the Arsenal man added to Wenger’s growing injury concerns by picking up a knock. He is doubtful for France’s friendly with Tunisia after sustaining a knee injury. Malouda only lasted 38 minutes of the eventual 2-2 draw before Domenech made a change to 4-4-2 after falling 2-0 down within 17 minutes. Gallas missed out through injury as reported earlier in the week.

Vidic completed the 90 minutes in Serbia’s 3-0 win over Lithuania. Chelsea’s Ivanovic started at right-back and also completed the game.

Both Petrov’s – Villa’s Stiliyan and City’s Martin got through the 90 minutes as Bulgaria held Italy to a 0-0. Berbatov also started and played the full game. On the opposite side, Liverpool’s Dossena played the full match at left back.

Scotland started with Gordon, Morrison and Darren Fletcher but West Brom’s Morrison was subbed just before the hour mark as Burley chased the win against Norway. Carew completed the game for the visitors – and looked sharp throughout. Hangeland also got through the game, while Blackburn’s Gamst-Pedersen appeared from the bench on 76 minutes.

Blackburn’s Ooijer completed the 90 for Holland as they saw off Iceland 2-0. Liverpool’s Kuyt played the full game, while Babel started but was subbed on 69 minutes. Van Persie missed the match through injury as reported earlier in the week. Hreidarsson and Helguson both completed the game for Iceland.

Shifting continents to the South American qualifiers – Mascherano completed the 90 minutes for Argentina in their 2-1 win over Uruguay. Santa Cruz sat out Paraguay’s 1-0 over Columbia through injury – he has stayed with Blackburn having picked up a hamstring injury against United. Brazil take on Venezuela later tonight so I’ll update with news on Robinho and the rest later.

Over in the CONCACAF qualifiers – Fulham’s Dempsey turned out for the full 90 minutes as USA put 6 goals past Cuba. Tim Howard also completed the game in goal. Dwight Yorke completed the 90 for Trinidad and Tobago in their 0-0 with Guatemala. Bolton’s Gardner and Stoke’s Fuller started for Jamaica in their 1-0 win over Mexico. Fuller was subbed on 71 minutes after scoring the winning goal early on. Arsenal’s Vela completed the game for Mexico. Wigan’s Figueroa and Palacios both finished Honduras’ 3-1 win over Canada.

In the African qualifiers it was Adebayor who took the headlines, hitting four goals in Togo’s 6-0 win over Swaziland. That performance came after the Arsenal striker had a change of heart at the last minute, having threatened to sit out internationals due to a lack of professionalism from Togo’s FA. His owners must be purring at that news, David Moyes less so as he prepares to bring his Swiss cheese defence to the Emirates next weekend.

Adebayor’s Arsenal team mates Toure and Eboue both started in the Ivory Coast’s win over Madagascar. Both were subbed – Eboue on the hour mark, Toure after 72 minutes. Chelsea’s Kalou also started, got the third goal and was later subbed on 79 minutes. Tottenham’s Zokora completed the game.

Geremi completed the 90 for Cameroon in their 5-0 win over Mauritius. Yobo and Shittu both completed the 4-1 win over Sierra Leone. Kanu and Yakubu were on the bench – the latter seeing action on 82 minutes. Fulham’s Paintsil completed the full game for Ghana as they saw off Lesotho 3-0. Finally, Portsmouth’s Belhadj had a full game as Algeria got a 0-0 in Liberia.

There’s a full programme of qualifiers on Wednesday so we’re not out of the injury woods yet. I’ll try to bring you a similar round-up along with the weekend team news later in the week.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
