As featured in Greek Fan’s tweets earlier this evening, Portsmouth have confirmed that Paul Hart has been “relieved of his duties” at the club.

This is hardly surprising news given that Portsmouth sit bottom of the table and with Avram Grant installed safely “upstairs” at Fratton Park. Grant will be the obvious successor, although the club have stated that Hart’s assistants – Paul Groves and Ian Woan will manage things in the short-term. The very short-term I imagine.

What does this mean for us fantasy managers? Very little right now. If anything, it makes Portsmouth’s task against United this weekend all the more difficult. Hart appeared to be building a decent enough relationship with his players and it will be interesting to see if Grant, once confirmed, can lift things in time for the visit of the Champions. My bet is that United will be early benefactors of this latest upheaval at Fratton Park.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
