With the Fantasy Premier League deadline hitting us on Sunday morning, the Scout Picks will follow on tomorrow rather than this evening. You can always take a look at the Scout Squad article posted in the week for early thoughts on how they are likely to shape up.

If you’ve already digested that then here’s another viewpoint on where the possible sources of attacking and defensive points for this, the final gameweek, courtesy of Paddy Power’s odds machine…

Who Will Keep a Clean Sheet?

It’s no surprise to see the big two at the top of Paddy’s reckoning. Both United and Chelsea look strong options for shut-outs given they face kind home opposition in games they are sure to dominate in terms of possession. Arsenal’s odds are interesting – although they have conceded just a single goal in their last four Emirates league matches. In addition, their opposition Fulham have notched just a single goal in their last five away games and will of course likely field a second-string on Sunday.

Liverpool’s odds are perhaps a little surprising considering the injuries across their defence – I just about prefer Villa at home to Blackburn myself, but it’s Everton that look by far the best option in Fantasy terms. Paddy certainly agree, offering short odds on a clean sheet at home to Portsmouth.

Take a look at the full details for this market here.

  • United 1.40
  • Chelsea 1.44
  • Arsenal 1.66
  • Everton 1.90
  • Liverpool 2.25
  • Aston Villa 2.30
  • Tottenham 2.40

Anytime Scorer

Didier Drogba tops Paddy’s list for anytime scorer. Interestingly he trailed Wayne Rooney this time yesterday but his odds have shortened today – perhaps as a result of his comments in the press regarding the penalty situation against Wigan. Perhaps not. It’s also notable that Florent Malouda was 2.10 yesterday but has lengthened to 2.50 after Ancleotti confirmed another start for Salomon Kalou. The Ivorian remains at short odds for a midfielder at 2.10. He’s joined by Nani at the same odds. the United man is sure to start given the absence of Antonio Valencia and will be in his prefered right-wing role. He looks a certainty for my Picks and plenty of other Fantasy squads as a result.

The Scout Markets

Our Clean Sheet Accumulator this week offers you odds of 11/2 on shutouts for United, Chelsea and Wolves, while in the Scout Picks bet you can get a whopping 16/1 on Mikel Arteta, Matt Taylor and Didier Drogba all scoring on Sunday.

As always Paddy Power are offering a free £20 to anyone who signs up for a new account and makes a £10 bet.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
