An intriguing game kicks gameweek six off with a bang, as champions Chelsea take a trip to Eastlands. Man City did the double over Chelsea last season, so both teams are looking to make a point.
With Carlo Ancelotti naming his side during his Friday press conference, there’s no surprise in Chelsea’s line-up. As for City, the team sheet also reveals absolutely no surprises for them, and the team is as predicted in our Team News section.
Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Toure, Boyata, Milner, De Jong, Barry, Toure Yaya, Silva, Tevez.
Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Alex, Terry, A Cole, Essien, Mikel, Ramires, Anelka, Malouda, Drogba.
Once the dust has settled from our lunchtime game, we have a feast of six Premier League games to tuck into at 3pm. With five of the top seven candidates for captaincy (according to our poll) involved in two of the afternoon fixtures, most eyes will be at the Emirates where Arsenal host West Brom, and at Anfield where Liverpool welcome the visit of Sunderland.
The day is set to be one with mixed fortunes and emotions, and what better way to experience those than in our Dugout Discussion? As always, it’s here throughout the day, right up until the names are pulled out of the bonus points hat at FPL towers.
Make the most of those as there’s no evening game today. We will be back tomorrow however, with a triple header of televised games to end the gameweek.
