We’ve combined their selections below to reveal the most popular Scout Picks for the round.

FANTASY EFL GAMEWEEK 9 SCOUT PICKS

Fantasy EFL 9 Picks

GOALKEEPER

Sam Tickle takes the goalkeeper spot as Bristol City prepare to face Charlton Athletic and Blackburn Rovers. Both opponents have struggled for attacking consistency this season, giving Tickle a promising opportunity to collect two clean sheets. He also earned the backing of all three contributors.

DEFENDERS

West Ham’s favourable double against Queens Park Rangers and Lincoln City makes Konstantinos Mavropanos a shoo-in. The Greek international has already produced some impressive Fantasy returns, including 15 points against Wrexham and nine points in each of his meetings with Bolton and Millwall. All three contributors selected him.

Anel Ahmedhodžić completes our defence ahead of Burnley’s trips to Watford and home meeting with Charlton Athletic. Both opponents have struggled to create chances this season, with Watford averaging just 1.13 expected goals (xG) per match and Charlton 0.78. Those fixtures offer Ahmedhodžić a chance to deliver defensive returns across the double.

MIDFIELDERS

With three goals and five assists from eight appearances, Finn Azaz has made an excellent start to the Championship campaign. The Southampton midfielder has also registered 16 key passes and five shots on target. Portsmouth visit St Mary’s before Southampton travel to Norwich, giving Azaz two opportunities to build on his impressive attacking numbers.

A sensational 24-point haul against Charlton in Gameweek 6 strengthens the case for Jack Moylan. The Cardiff City midfielder scored twice, supplied an assist and registered four key passes during that match. Blackburn and Watford are next, with both opponents conceding plenty of chances this season. Two of our three contributors included Moylan in their selections.

FORWARDS

Jarrod Bowen takes the captaincy as West Ham prepare for meetings with Queens Park Rangers and Lincoln City. Four goals and four assists from eight appearances highlight his attacking influence, while 24 key passes and 11 shots on target underline his consistency. West Ham lead the Championship for attacking xG, making Bowen an obvious candidate for another strong Fantasy return.

Cardiff’s Yousef Salech earns the vice-captaincy after receiving unanimous support from our contributors. The forward delivered 12 Fantasy points against Charlton in GW6, having also collected five points in each of his previous two outings. Blackburn and Watford offer encouraging opportunities, particularly with Cardiff averaging over two xG per match.

CLUB PICKS

West Ham United lead our club selections ahead of fixtures against Queens Park Rangers and Lincoln City. The Hammers have scored 22 goals in eight league matches, more than any other Championship side. Their attacking strength offers considerable potential for victories and multiple-goal bonuses across the double, while Lincoln’s inconsistent attack provides an additional clean-sheet opportunity.

Bristol City complete our club picks with trips to Charlton and a home encounter against Blackburn. Both opponents rank among the Championship’s weaker attacking sides, giving Bristol City a promising chance of defensive returns. Charlton average just 0.78 xG per match, while Blackburn have managed 1.00. The Robins also face two manageable fixtures in their pursuit of valuable win points.
