Just to a reminder that this Gameweek represents the First Round proper of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup.
For those who came through the Qualifying Round, you can view the draw and get a link to your First Round opponent right here.
Good luck to those involved – apart from tippman of course. Sorry tippman.
Gone for Nani captain, everyone else in my mini league has gone for Berbs or Tevez. Got both anyway so damage should be minimised (I hope)
Good luck to my cup opponent Lucky2010, but not too much luck.
hahahaa nice comment
Berbatov on the bench or are they speculating on Soccer Saturday?
speculation
really no need to rest him, macheda and owen will easily take care of bursaspoir
Agreed.
any players of the champions league game?
the tipster is a bit like the fpl pundit, giving tips every week. however he himself is crap at the game and has managed to get 67pts from 2 matches, and is in the bottom 25% of all the managers. why?
Well I think its like this. He gives tips on one or two players, sometimes good players who people may not have considered. That doesnt mean that he picks a strong team apart from that. Maybe hes been trying out differentials so he can write about them if they do well, or maybe he just isnt very good and once in a while comes up with some alright advice for certain players but apart from that is hopeless.
Interesting! The team I'm playing in the my h2h league has also WC'ed this week.
His team= http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/eventhist.mc?id=111665&event=8
My team= http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/eventhist.mc?id=940&event=8
What do you think? It's gonna be tight.
Squeeky bum time! I think he might egde it, but Im only saying that cos I put Berba(C) it will be very close! Good Luck
i think berbs is a good choice this weekend, as much as i have been impressed with west brom this season i think united will tear them up today. im going for a 4-0 united win. done the berbs (c) myself.
Cant see a 4-0 win for United myself, not got the players for it.
2-0 solid but nervy win
why all of a sudden is he not going to play, tell me, theyre top striker this season. do you think fergie is stupid ?
Gargamel: I'm not sure of the ins and outs of who would be liable but I think that there is still a real risk of them coming back and getting more money out of the club/board/current owners. It looks a long way away from having been resolved imo.
Well my cup opponent wildcarded, which makes it:
Me: Hahnemann, Jones, Enrique, Yaya, Etherington, Bale, Carroll
vs.
Him: Krul, Salcido, Boateng, Arteta, Barton, Elmander, Rooney
Could be worse (although I'd still never expect to go through against a WC team).
I like yours more, fwiw ...
Alright, who's got who for today's fixtures? Should be an interesting weekend...
Robinson
Toure/O'Shea/Bramble/Williamson
Malouda/Van Der Vaart/Nani/Etherington/Adam
Berbatov
(Carson/Huth/Odemwingie/Drogba)
from cup opponent, to stranger, to top of the league to mini league every man jack and jackie of us has markedly different line ups. This is the most hard to call week of them all so far.
Bejesus the guy who is top of the world has made a couple of subs
J Evans for Bramble
BAptiste for Alcaraz
This guy is taking the p!ss out of all of us. Bet he ends up still being top even with those meh changes.
and he captained Drogba as well. This guy is some kind of twisted genius.
lol @ Bramble.. surely he could have scrambled to find the extra 0.2 for Elmo if he wanted in on Sunderland's defense
I know, he benched Alcaraz as well - who will come on for Drog but also left Givet on the bench...who is at home. Looks like it'll be Tevez captain for him on value and form - cue Tevez hattrick for this jammy so and so.
lol. theyre crap. still all goes towards the mighty fail at the endof the season
cardiff have scored again you'll be glad to hear locarno.
Loving all this slagging off of the top teams in this comp. Usually by people 300,000 places behind them.
So if someone does well, it's luck? Unless it's you, then it's brilliant management and team selection???
FPL is 50% luck 50% skill. Everyone knows that. 😛
Couldn't agree more - although my season so far has been 90 per cent luck, 10 per cent skill. Expect that to even up this weekend. 🙁
Nice rank. I was joking about those %s.
'You create your own luck' - Hans Solo
I didn't know there were Dutch people in Star Wars - you learn something every day...
FPL is like a rollacoaster you have your UPS & DOWNS 😉
You have been down since you won CYKI. You are keeping Fran & Jon Reeson company.
I don`t mind being in Jon`s company but FRANS that`s a bit below the belt 🙁
I`m not expecting much in VS this GW have toooo many injuries !
My main team is pretty injury free minus Koscielny. My TM team ranked 16th overall is in shambles.
chill out old bean...the guy at the top has had amazing luck, but also the most skill out of all of us by picking the most awesome team for the first few weeks at the very start. He is a lucky guy, but a genius as well. Lots of respect to him from me.
I don't think many people would argue the game involves a sizeable amount of luck... of course the luck % drops gradually over the course of the season.
3 - 3 cardiff now.
lol just messing 😛
Only person in my league to captain Nani. Hatrick hero PLEASSSSEEE!!
Yeah, see, I DO not want that. If Nani or Berbatov do well and Tevez doesn't, I'm going from 6,800th to 680,000th.
Anyone listening to the radio for the lineups?
Mike Dean doing Fulham vs Tottenham, VDV penalty?
Sounds good to me.
As much as you winning FPL this season.
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

1350: EARLY BREAKING TEAM NEWS:
Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner start on the bench for Arsenal.
Haha... like it.
Theo Walcott and Nicklas Bendtner start on the bench for Arsenal.
Has anyone got a funny feeling we are about to get some shock team lineups? ...... No ...... just me then.
well the most shocking of them wud've been Drogs not playin but Ancelotti spoiled it
Drogba, Fabregas, Alex and Hargreaves all start.
Anyone else realise Wigan haven't conceeded an away goal yet?!!!
Fair enough it's only bern two games but with Newcastle form a Wigan defender might be a good option today.
It's a bit late now though
I'm scared to see United's starting line-up. If Fergie benches Berbs again I may throw a fit.
Rooney bench, Berb starts
Evra, Giggs & Carrick start along with Hernandez. Pretty sure that's correct.
O'Shea starts? Yes? No?
why has the game lineup locked early? no sense!
Bendtner and Walcott on the bench, according to my friend who is usually right on these.
Shite, I've just seen it on there now, lol
1405: EARLY BREAKING TEAM NEWS:
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney... is on the bench. Dimitar Berbatov and Javier Hernandez start up front against West Brom.
