A day later than promised (just double-checking there were no discrepancies with JohnSteed01’s GW9 score), the third round draw for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, has been made. The 64 ties, that will be played over GW10, can be viewed right here, and for a brief round-up of some of the fixtures read on…

The first match-up out of the hat is arguably the headline act, as Don Corleone faces Anorak. Filling the undercard is Dbronaldo‘s game against atx1303 (who boasts an extremely impressive history), Daniel.mf Vs. Bigstevehoward, and a few others.

I had best mention bill badger‘s match-up against Bigmidders, after bill badger has seemingly accrued somewhat of a cult following on the site, and his followers will be eager to know of his opponent.

Last week’s top-scorer The Plutocrat has a very winnable tie against guillermo, who currently sits 168,115th in the world. The first round top-scorer beeduybe is still in the competition and takes on a confident gooner dave, after his win over jms in round two.

Our former-champion watch, which has halved in size since last week, sees FFS Cup I champ donnellyc take on kings of kafirstan.

Another dwindling feature of this round-up, is the look at the fortunes of the site contributors. The sole representative, Granville, has been drawn against dinglea.

Good luck to all the 128 fantasy managers battling it out this weekend in the third round, and I’ll bring you the results on Tuesday or Wednesday.

i guess this the downside to having 5 stron gmids, unless adam and carroll rotate well you'll have this dilemma every week and sods law says you'll get it wrong as often as right.

Lads, team for this Saturday -

    Hahnemann (Foster)
    Konchesky, Elmo, Coleman (Alex)
    Malouda, Fabs, Bale, Nani, Brunt
    Drogba, Berbatov (Carroll)

Do I play the 5 man midfield or drop one of them for Carroll?

Tamas. If I do drop one midfield I was thinking Bale, given that he's not getting to play aggressively in PL anymore. Just don't know if Carroll should be benched at home against Sunderland, local Derby and all that, you'd hope he would be up for it

Tevez out has stuffed up my plans, like alot of others.

Was going to do Torres and Yaya for Varney and Fabs.

    Foster (robinson)
    Bosingwa, Jones, Dann (Faye, Gohouri)
    Nani, Malouda, Yaya, Barton, Gomez
    Drogba, Torres (tevez)

Cant do Tevez and yaya for fab and varney.
    What you reckon?

Playing wildcard this week, going from
    From:
    Hanneman (Jask)
Craddock, jagielka, samba, elmohamady, jose enrique
    Malouda, adam, Gerrard, fabregas, nani
    Chamkh, piquione, hernandez

    To:
    Cech (Jask)
    Coleman, jagielka, (samba), (elmohamady), boswinga
    Malouda, adam, nasri, fabregas, (nani)
    Chamkh, carroll, hernandez

Happy with cheap attackers for good midfielders

Question is will hernandez score more than piquione, worth doubling up on everton defenders and arsenal mids?

    any ideas/advice re changes/subs? cheers

RMT for this weekend please, and bring me down a peg or two as I give it 8.5/10 and it has to put me back on top at Arsenal-Mania.

    ---------Krul
    A.Cole - Elmo - Coleman
    Cesc(c) - VdV - Nani - Gutierrez
    Drogba - Berba - Chamakh
    (Foster - Jara - Ferguson - Simpson)

Gutierrez is flop central for FPL, delivers the ball before the assist and never scores. Newcastle, Dverton and Sunderland I think will concede. Chamuck will dissapoint again, Berba will go missing against his old club and Cesc will be injured within 30 mins. 4/10.

Ive taken the 4 pointer for Tevez to Chamakh and captained Chamakh. Can only hope worst case scenario Chamakh plays full 90 minutes and does nothing so I get the 4 points back, but hopefully he'll score 3 and get an assist or 2 also!!!

You shouldn't think worse case is 2 points doubled to 4. That would be a waste of a transfer of a player you will want back for 0 net points. Worse case would be to get at least net positive points surely?
