Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Florent Malouda is “available to play” against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Chelsea boss stressed in his afternoon press conference that Malouda had made a good recovery from the ankle injury that saw him miss Tuesday’s win over Spartak. He went on to confirm that Frank Lampard would miss out on Sunday and would not be considered until the Stamford Bridge clash with Sunderland next weekend. Michael Essien remains a doubt for Sunday with his toe injury still a slight concern.

Cech, Ivanovic, Cole, Terry, Alex, Mikel, Zhirkov, Drogba and Anelka were all confirmed in Ancelotti’s starting lineup. He went on to state that Essien or Ramires and Malouda or Kalou would complete the eleven.

The availability of Malouda comes as a major boost for Fantasy Managers and he would now seem likely to start at Anfield. It’s bittersweet news however – the consideration for Malouda owners now is that he could well miss out in one of Chelsea’s forthcoming home games against Fulham and Sunderland in the next week should he start at Anfield.

Earlier today we had confirmation that Nani would sit out of the Old Trafford encounter with Wolves and remain a doubt for City in midweek. Just moments ago we also had confirmation that Rafael Van der Vaart was out of the Bolton trip, while Aaron Lennon is a doubt for Spurs.

As always, all the very latest team news is being collected as it drops from the Manager’s mouths in our Team News section. Keep popping back and monitor the Twitter feed for the fresh new arrivals.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Nani out, who would you get in out of these 5 to replace him?

    1 - Nasri?
    2 - Walcott?
    3 - Cahill?
    4 - Arteta? or
    5 - Bale?

            Overrated, overrated, overrated.

He's never been a good fantasy player, even in Spain.

He's not on setpieces, he's a rotation risk, and bonus points are hard to come by in that City team.

Guys I'm in a huge dilemma! Shall I wipe my arse with my left or right hand this weekend. You see the thing is, my left hand is injured, but it's nearly at 100%, and I do prefer using the lefty. Or shall I just cut my losses and have an uncomfortable time with the right?

        Thoughts much appreciated!

Hi all – lost on last page and am down to 10 players max (3-3-3) and so could really do with some advice pls:

        Foster

        Coleman/Simpson/Elmohamady

        Fabregas/Adam/Nolan

        Drogba/Berbatov/Chamakh

Confirmed not playing are: Al-Habsi, Bosingwa, Jara, Van der Vaart, Nani

Have already used my freebie. What do you guys think? Is it worth taking a 4 point hit to get 11 players playing and if so, who to drop and replace with?

        Nani, Malouda, Brunt, vDV

I'd be keeping them. Sure it's a low scoring week, but that shouldn't be too important unless you're in the cup.

Nani's got to be a keeper, and VDV should be back and raring to go for Sunderland and Blackburn at White Hart Lane.

              Well that's a pleasantly enlightened approach 🙂

To be fair, going 4-3-3 you've got a pretty decent team for this weekend, especially doubling up on brum. Think I'd save my transfers.

without VDV bale'll prob do well this week.. and if vdv out for longer then bale will do fantastic the next 3 weeks and after that tottenham have bad fixtures.. so think bale the best option.. doin it now

Crazy man, i think VDV hindering Bale's output is overstated. I honestly think it's more coincidence than anything, Bale has still been making good runs and putting good balls in, the only point that might be there is that there's less people in the box to convert them.

Getting Bale in after a CL game and then they're away with a depleted squad is a poor move though in my eyes.

if arshavin is injured, walcott would be a tasty choice

either way, i dont think bale is the best option

nasri , arteta (8.2 i kno) and dempsey are all better

        d) Malouda + Ferguson - Arteta + Cahill (VdV next week.)

if Walcott is going to start regularly then no, but if Walcott is going to be constantly coming on for last 20 mins then yes.

Fabregash was pony last week but even then he had two great efforts and was unlucky not to score. Every Arsenal move goes through him and he takes FKs / PKs

Fulham's fixtures actually aren't that bad, I would even say more favourable than a lot of other teams.

              AVL,che,new,MCY,BIR,ars,SUN

That's four winnable home games, and Newcastle have hardly been seting the world a light at home. Away to Chelsea and Arsenal you wouldn't expect them to get anything from, maybe the best they could hope for would be a draw away to Arsenal.

Tnx Cybertooth, I see what you mean. Its a case of a 4 point hit to bring in Salc/ Samba to ensure i have 11 players playing or just leave for 2 free bees next week (with the added bonus of keeping nani and VdV)

Salcido probably looks like a safer long term bet than Samba, but it's a tough call. More assist potential from Salcido pobably and more goal threat from Samba. You could go with both Blackburns fixtures aren't that bad either. Depends whether you think Samba's goal thread out weighs Salcido's assist potential.

lampard to outscore tevez from week 13 to jan wildcard? wud be the ultimate differential as i cant see too many teams around me getting him in. however those teams will have tevez who i wud have to sacrifice for a striker thats around 7m mark.
