As dust settles from the latest Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline, first up today is Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to the Reebok Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers.

The team news for the 12:45pm game is in, and Harry Redknapp is forced to make changes as Aaron Lennon and Rafael Van der Vaart miss out as expected. Somewhat surprisingly though, in comes Niko Kranjcar and Sandro.

For Bolton, they name an unchanged side from the one that lost 1-0 at home to Liverpool last week.

The full line-ups are as follows…

Bolton Wanderers XI: Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Knight, Cahill, Robinson, Lee, Holden, Muamba, Taylor, Elmander, K Davies.

Tottenham Hotspur XI: Gomes, Hutton, Kaboul, Gallas, Assou-Ekotto, Kranjcar, Palacios, Sandro, Bale, Modric, Crouch.

Then there’s a healthy dose of six afternoon Premier League games, for which we will all be nervously awaiting the team sheets. The games 3pm are West Ham’s visit to St. Andrews, Wigan Athletic’s short journey to Blackburn Rovers, Blackpool’s home game against Everton, Sunderland (without Darren Bent according to his Twitter account) hosting Stoke City, Aston Villa’s visit to Craven Cottage and last but by no means least is Manchester United’s second game at Old Trafford against Wolves in as many weeks.

There is no evening game today, well not in the Premier League at least. You could always watch Derby County Vs. Portsmouth or Cambridge United Vs. Huddersfield Town. Just saying.

To take you through the inevitable fireworks today will bring, the Dugout Discussion is open for business as per usual, and will remain so until those last bonus points are released. Good luck everyone!

I am the only one in my minileague who has fabregas, HOPEFULLY a fabs show this week!!

re the bent tweet, any chance he is just poking fun, the guy who he is tweeting has a bet on for 2-0 and bent 2 be first scorer, so maybe bent jus said that to be piss him off

if i was a world famous footballer, and a guy tweeted me about a bet, id probably lie to him for the sneer

its strange how so few people have fabregas. i am in a similar situation. surely he cant possibly rack up 2 crap weeks in a row at home against bottom-of-league west ham and newly-promoted newcastle.

2-1 arsenal with a fabs brace and one from carroll would do me nicely 😀

I'm a Yankees fan so it pains me to say anything positive about someone involved with the Red Sox but I agree and think he'll be a good owner for Liverpool. He's certainly got a good track record of turning around an under-performing big club.

Commentator has just called BAE 'under-rated' and stated that 'not many get past him'. Utter nonsense. Useless defender. Not many get past him because they don't need to. He's always out of position so opposition players can just stroll into the space that he should be occupying.

Giggs couldn't have played for England. He was born in Wales to Welsh parents.

If he was born 15 years later, he could have, because he went to school in England for a considerable amount of time, but that rule only changed a few years ago.

            Bale is just Welsh.

Giggs COULD have played for Sierra Leone, which would have been a step up from Wales.
He did however captain England at schoolboy level.

Wales and Manchester United star, Ryan Giggs is furious about constant suggestions that 'he could have played for England'

Giggs is Welsh and had no choice in which nation he played for. He played for England Schoolboys - only because he went to school in England.

"People saying I should have played for England makes me furious, I am 100% Welsh and did not chose Wales - I had no choice" said Giggs

                  All completly different.
Bale born to Welsh parents in Wales and lived in Wales.
This is just farcical to talk about he is Welsh.

The others you listed moved from a bigger nation to a smaller one (Lawerence, Silva) in order to get international football.

While Chamackh and Rossi were as italian & Morrocan as they come as their parents were ex pats living with Fellow Italians or Morrocans.

                    All valid points mind.

While were on the point Wayne Rooney should be playing for Ireland.

If only he was Irish. He has exactly the same ties with Ireland as Bale does with England....

DBRonaldo is basically trying to say that these players, for whatever reason, were able to play for another country.

Bale isn't, even if he hadn't already played for the Welsh national team.

Podolski has spent over 20 years living in Germany.
Bale moved to England a few years back and represented Wales the whole way through.

Do you honestly think he should /would want to play for England? What would the basis for it be?

No he's not MF, he's saying these players have more valid reasons to choose different countries.

Bale has an English grandparent and could've played for England if he wanted to.

If you're saying DB, that Rooney has an Irish grandparent, then yes, he could've played for Ireland.

How are you not getting this?

Why would you even consider the thought that he would want to play for England?

All the other players has a basis for switching nationality be it
                    - actually get gametime
                    - living in the country a prolonged period of time

Bale has none of the above. Or do you think Bale born and bred in Cardiff should just go and play for England?

I think its a tad desperate that Wales have a young prospect who could go on the be a great player and everyone is saying "well he could have played for England".

Getting destroyed in a World Cup isnt that appealing.

Thankfully footballers arent complete mercaneries just yet where they actually choose the country they play for based on potential success.

How about England concentrate on their own players, rather than coveting those from other countries?

Just because you're eligible for more than one country it doesn't mean you sit down and make a choice as to who is the best one. He plays for Wales because he loves being Welsh- I'd rather never play in a World Cup but be mighty proud of representing my country than jump ship to play in a WC but not really care for them.

So I just checked out my rivals' transfers. One of them spent 4 points to do Rose (of Tottenham) for Diao (of Stoke). Could someone offer some explanation for this? It only 'made' him 0.1m, and he's got, like, 3.5m in the bank, so it can't be a financing issue. How am I losing to this person? 😐
