Three games today to polish off gameweek 11, and if today is anything like yesterday, then good riddance as far as I’m concerned. Having said that, the six teams on show today have considerable investment around these parts, so perhaps a healthier score is a possibility.

First up is Newcastle United’s trip down to the Emirates to face Arsenal. To the relief of many a fantasy manager, The Gunner’s captain fantastic Cesc Fabregas is named in the starting line-up. Theo Walcott also starts at the expense of the Russian maestro Andrei Arshavin, who has some very interesting company on the pine, as Robin van Persie is named amongst the substitutes.

A positive line-up for The Toon, sees Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll remain up front together after their prolific partnership in last week’s derby.

Here are the line-ups in full, and I’ve included the substitutes as that is arguably where the headline news is…

Arsenal XI: Fabianski, Sagna, Koscielny, Squillaci, Clichy, Song, Wilshere, Fabregas, Walcott, Chamakh, Nasri

Subs: Szczesny, Rosicky, van Persie, Djourou, Arshavin, Eboue, Bendtner

Newcastle XI: Krul, Simpson, Coloccini, Williamson, Jose Enrique, Barton, Tiote, Nolan, Gutierrez, Carroll, Ameobi

Subs: Soderberg, Campbell, Routledge, Lovenkrands, Smith, Steven Taylor, Ranger

Straight after that we go to Anfield to see Liverpool take on champions Chelsea at 4pm. Also, in the midst of those two games, West Brom host Man City at 3pm.

All today’s goings on can and will be discussed in the aptly-named Dugout Discussion. Enjoy.

Premiership has stregth in depth, apart from the top 4 or 5 clubs La Liga is a pub league.

Try telling Athelico Biboa, Getafe, Zaragoza, Hercules they are pub teams.

The Quality is much higher in Spain both at the top and overall.

Just cos the teams are closer in England doesnt mean its the best league.

By that notion the championship is the best in the world.

I'm sorry Mr. Ancelotti, but that defeat is on your hands.....

If Essien plays we don't lose that game, so playing him - when the club knew he had a niggle - against Spartak and then against Wolves has cost us that game.

Second half was better than the first, which I guess is saying absolutely nothing because the first half was a complete joke. How 4 different Chelsea managers have kept Kalou at the club is beyond me. He's never been anything other than totally useless.

Fair dos to Liverpool, they defended well, but this result doesn't suddenly mean that they are a good club anymore. And Webb was a joke... Every 50/50 decision went Liverpool's way, and then he doesn't even book Maxi for cheating in the last minute.

Jamsiep you are disgusting bitter blue. We out attacked you first half, out defenended second. Webb was in no way giving every 50/50 our way, Maxi was hit by Cech and Webb bottled the pen. Yury JerkOff is a little cheat just like you name sake. We are still a 'good' club going through a tough time, a club that the potential champions should walking through with ease, no?

Thank you... He wasn't even meant to do anything this week, it should have been the next two weeks he got the points, I'm not complaining but to be fair I think I got lucky there 🙂 Nice to have a West Ham player do well in my team too.

It's depressing when your team's top scorers are Hart and Ridgewell 😐

Why did ancelotti keep mikel on for 90 mins, not at one stage did he try to attack and take off Ivan and Zhirkov who were trying to attack.

Dreadful performance but Liverpool stopped us playing by going flying in every time we got the ball in their half and it was very fortunate that they did not mess one of them up and getting themselves sent off. The lack of creativity was startling and the crossing was also very wayward.

Lucas is the most irritating little prick of a footballer... It's as if his sole aim is to win as many free kicks as he possibly can.

You should have heard dad ranting about Mikel and Anelka, and then Sturridge when he came on too....

Actually he had a rather good game today, I don't really get what's so irritating about him.

How we didn't get a goal Ill never know.
Just football I suppose, but our lack of scoring away from home recently is very unsettling...

      Can't win 'em all.... 😀

Anyway, the second half was enough to confirm the fact that we are the best team in the league.

      Malouda or Drogba.

Drogba certainly isn't worth his price at the moment.
