Three games today to polish off gameweek 11, and if today is anything like yesterday, then good riddance as far as I’m concerned. Having said that, the six teams on show today have considerable investment around these parts, so perhaps a healthier score is a possibility.

First up is Newcastle United’s trip down to the Emirates to face Arsenal. To the relief of many a fantasy manager, The Gunner’s captain fantastic Cesc Fabregas is named in the starting line-up. Theo Walcott also starts at the expense of the Russian maestro Andrei Arshavin, who has some very interesting company on the pine, as Robin van Persie is named amongst the substitutes.

A positive line-up for The Toon, sees Shola Ameobi and Andy Carroll remain up front together after their prolific partnership in last week’s derby.

Here are the line-ups in full, and I’ve included the substitutes as that is arguably where the headline news is…

Arsenal XI: Fabianski, Sagna, Koscielny, Squillaci, Clichy, Song, Wilshere, Fabregas, Walcott, Chamakh, Nasri

Subs: Szczesny, Rosicky, van Persie, Djourou, Arshavin, Eboue, Bendtner

Newcastle XI: Krul, Simpson, Coloccini, Williamson, Jose Enrique, Barton, Tiote, Nolan, Gutierrez, Carroll, Ameobi

Subs: Soderberg, Campbell, Routledge, Lovenkrands, Smith, Steven Taylor, Ranger

Straight after that we go to Anfield to see Liverpool take on champions Chelsea at 4pm. Also, in the midst of those two games, West Brom host Man City at 3pm.

All today’s goings on can and will be discussed in the aptly-named Dugout Discussion. Enjoy.

      It sounds good but is it really true? This gameweek was extreme but I feel I would have been better off if I had known more 🙂

        🙂
        No doubt we could all do with a bit of clairvoyance, but given the evidence we had prior to the GW starting I think most people picked a sensible team. Stuff like Berbatov and Drogba malingering was a real out of the blue slap though

          Yeah as I said this gameweek was extreme. I'm glad my team looks better for the next gameweek and that I can get rid of Chamakh really soon.

        Amusing as it is poking fun at Chelsea losing, fair play turning up on here and taking the hits. Doubt most of the Arsenal boys will do the same.

      but he held the ball up and tracked back alot in the second half, people forget that the BP's are awarded for "influence" in the final outcome, he scored the goal that won the match, and worked his socks of all day, like Lucas, for once FPL have got the BP's spot on today

      Disagree. He worked very hard, held up the ball very well throughout the game and also scored the goal. If he gave away the ball a few times it's natural because he was basically alone against 5 all the time.

      This was by far the best Carroll performance I've witnessed.

      This is just so wrong, he may have given the ball away but he won it so many times as well, just a dominant force and they couldn't handle him. And "just nodding one in" is pretty significant in a 1-0 win.

      Are you trying to write a poem?

      Fellaini will play DM where Heitinga has been, won't make much of a, or any, difference really in those terms.

      Coleman's competition will be from the likes of Rodwell, Anichebe, Osman and Bily. Given his performances it'd be hard to see him out until he dips or Osman is back in 6 weeks, whichever is first.

        Rodwell = Wrong.
        Anichebe = Correct.
        Osman = Correct.
        Billy = Wrong.

        Two out of four ain't bad as Meatloaf would say.

    to be honest almost everyone in here had written off liverpool after they were beat at man city, 3 straight wins might make ppl think a bit especially with torres looking like he gstting back to his usual self

    Anyone considerin/has 3 newcastle players in their team.. they're players are ridiculously underpriced and i'd trust them to come of the bench for rainy days like today.. got Barton and Carroll and considerin getting simpson in for jara too.. Carroll can start every week and barton stays first sub, while simpson comes on for home matches

      Yeah back when Ben arfa was still alive I was saying I'd be happy with all of him/Nolan/Barton/Carrol/Enrique in my team, now Simpson too - getting him very soon I think

    Anyone with more than 35 ... please don't say how bad your score is, or how it could have been better... a lot of the the big scorers unpredictably didn't score well.

    GW12 here we come.

      I got 39, it was a bad score, and it could have been better if I had played Simpson and Krul instead of Foster and Jagielka, oh, right, don't say that you got a bad score over 35...
