The results are in from the fourth round of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III, sponsored by Paddy Power, and can be viewed right here. For a round-up of how 64 became 32, read on…

In what was a low-scoring week all-round, Gazzamania narrowly came out on top with a handy 53 points. That earns him a free £25 bet courtesy of sponsors Paddy Power, and a spot in round five. Feeling the full force of that score was Ron Burgundy, who could only muster a lowly 21. That was the third-worst score of the round and, unsurprisingly, that tie had the widest margin of victory.

Just missing out on the week’s top-score by a single point was Manif, who killed off our former champion donnellyc 52 – 37, as I correctly predicted.

Also biting the dust this week is my fellow Scout, Granville. He lost 40 – 33 to Chris81, thanks largely to Charles N’Zogbia.

With no draws this week, all ties were all decided on points. The closest of which were single point victories for Dksbananas and Unwillingplayer, who were 37 – 36 and 41 – 40 victors over megatron x and Fiat_Chelsea respectively.

Mightily unlucky this round is Mighty and daniel.mf, as the former was involved in the highest scoring tie of the round, losing 51 – 43 to DollyDaisy, and the latter achieved the best score that failed to progress, in his 49 – 44 effort against olive.

Fortune instead favoured gooner dave, who had the lowest score good enough for a victory and his 29 – 22 game against Azfad was the lowest scoring tie of the round.

The wooden spoon for round four goes to xero131, who could only score a pitiful 15 points. Placidcasual was the benefactor there.

Congratulations to our final 32, and commiserations to those leaving us at this juncture.

With Gameweek 12 only a day away, there is no let-up in the schedule and our 32 Fantasy Managers will have only a few hours notice of their fifth round opponent; expect the draw this time tomorrow.

      Seems like a funny time to be getting rid of Bosingwa, to me, right before he very probably plays in a fixture that will be a great chance of a clean sheet.

    What's that phrase Attila loves using? 'Willy sneeze' or something silly like that....

    Well, he'll be having one of them after seeing the Guardian chalkboard of Tioté distribution against Arsenal yesterday. His tackling wasn't bad either.

    Anyone think Bosingwa is going to start tomorrow? I am thinking of changing O'Shea for Alex to take advantage of Chelseas fixtures (with Bosingwa) but could change Bosingwa instead and keep O'Shea.

      Could make a joke about Chelsea actually not playing tomorrow.... Nah, I won't. They are tedious.

      Bosingwa will probably play. Although I would bet on it... He didn't look particularly good yesterday when he came on.

    My team at the moment is:

    Krul, Foster
    Elmohamady, Konchesky, Bosingwa, Dann, Jara
    Nasri, Nani, Bale, Cahill, Adam
    Drogba, Tevez, Hernandez

    I have 1.8 in the bank. The guy in my league is 20 point ahead of me. I have already used my free transfer, but is it worth a 4 point hit to do any of the following:

    1. Bosingwa ---> Alex/Hangeland
    2. Adam ----> Nolan/Parker
    3. Jara ----> Hutton/Coleman/Simpson

      I think Alex and Ivanovic will start as they are a better DEFENSIVE combination that Alex&Bosingwa or Ivanovic&Bosingwa.

      I think Alex will start though - Terry 'at fault' for Torres first goal, and Ivanovic 'at fault' for his second.

    Are Nani owners just going to bench him and hope he's back for Villa? I'm in two minds whether to swap him for Arteta/Cahill, or else swap Nasri for someone else, maybe Nolan. There's a chance Nasri has a slight knock so could be an injury/rotation risk, and I have already have Fabs. Any thoughts?

    Guys just need some advice not for FPL, for another fantasy football game, that is based on limited transfers (so this would be a long term change) and you only get points for clean sheets/assists/goals.

    Fabregas/Van Dar Sar to Torres/Coloccini.

    Good move or stick and hope Fabs starts getting points and man utd defence becomes more robust?

    Would really appreciate your advice, thanks.

      Defo stick tho its weird as all 4 players are in diff positions!!! Fav is betetr than Torres and VDS much better than Colli imo
