Carlo Ancleotti confirms that Alex and Anelka are doubts but Essien will return to face Fulham at the Bridge. Drogba was diagnosed with Malaria last night but will start. Down at the Lane meanwhile, Harry Redknapp has left it to Rafael Van der Vaart to decide whether he’s fit enough to take on Sunderland.

    hey guys,
    Could do with some help i dont want to make any transfers this week and will be putting tevez in for bent next week any ideas on the line up i should use this week

      Why not get Tevez in for Bent now?
      Bent is out for a few weeks and Tevez is playing against a Man Utd side that simply cannot keep clean sheets?

      Also, Tevez is always fired up for United and scored a few against them least season!

        agreed but cant really afford to take another 4 point hit. will definatly be in for next week. i actually think man u man city will be a dire game with little chances if im honest and think man u will win it in a very low scoring affair.

    I'm mulling over whether to captain Drogba now. Would it be worth getting Fabs out and Tevez back in again? Me and my stupid knee jerk when Tevez was declared out. Should have kept him!

      Hybrid I could have written that! I've decided to get Nolan in for Fabs and Tevez for Hernandez, and Tevez will be my captain this week. I will then engineer my transfers to get Fabs back in for gameweek 16 (Fulham at home) to give him a few games (which are also tough on paper) to find fitness and form. Don't know if that's swayed your thinking - it's a tough decision, don't blame me if it all goes wrong!!

      I mean, forgive my ignorance, but i had malaria down as a focking serious disease?? You'd hardly tip on into the office if you woke up with a dose of malaria would you!?!? Nuts. If i was Aaron Hughes i don't think i'd be too happy about the Drog rubbing up against me at corner time!!

      Seems the Tevez (c) ball is really rolling now!

      My only dilemma for the week:

      I currently have Nani and VDV playing and Elmander as first sub. Bit worried about the first two coming on for cameos and doing nothing, but i'm working all day and won't be able to check the lineups before the deadline.

      Would you leave it as it is or put Elmander in first, and if so, for who?
