After the frenzy of last week, I’d like to take the opportunity on this relatively sleepy Monday night, to announce and introduce you to a couple of new Fantasy Football Scout team members.

Firstly, the keen eyed amongst you will have noticed a certain Elfozzie making the odd comment post over the past few months. This shady character has been in the background after coming on board in the Summer, during which time he helped me out with some of his hard-earned, and basically supported me to create and launch the Members area. Elfozzie is the Scout’s Business guy – responsible for helping me to turn this site into something other than a pleasurable time sink that gets me into trouble with my girlfriend and destroys my social life. Elfozzie will be to blame if I’m still here doing this in a couple of years.

Johnfinlay meanwhile, has joined the team as our day-to-day news reporter and all-round editorial machine to provide coverage during the daylight hours, when the rest of us should be doing our 9 to 5 jobs. John will be chipping in with tweets, articles, team news, helping out with moderation on the comments and generally pushing the site on to be more prolific than ever. Almost half my age and full of these things I can vaguely remember called ā€œenergy and enthusiasmā€, John is the Jack Wilshere to my Liam Brady. Liam Brady’s not dead yet is he?

You read more on both these characters in the freshly updated Meet The Team page right here.

Welcome aboard Elfozzie and Johnfinlay!

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm playing them both due to "logistical problems". After 3 years I think I may be finally sussing this game out, but not this season.

Still in test. More work happening this week.

Right now in test we have the ability to view stats by last gameweek, last 2 gamweeks, last 4 gameweeks and last 6.

There's also an advanced filter so you can view between a gameweek range that you can set.

You can also choose to view stats by absolute values (what you have now) and averages per appearance. The latter will level the playing field when players play more than one match in gameweek but it's also very useful to view averages over the season or a range of gameweeks.

Hopefully more news on this by the weekend.

I wouldn't double up on Bolton defence - Go for the Sunderland player. Sunderland have good fixtures coming up (so do Bolton), but best not to put all your eggs in one basket.

My only small query about Bardsley: is he now nailed to the starting lineup at Sunderland? He missed the first few games - though I'n not sure if that was down to injury?...

Yeah i was wondering the same thing about Bardsley. In the short term i don't think it will be a problem as Bruce surely won't change a thing after the stunning performance yesterday. And even before that he played quite a few games on the spin i think.

Anyone know who Bardsley's competition is for the LB spot at Sunderland? Is it Richardson? I know Bruce did play him as full back a few times

Yeah maybe. From GW16 our fixtures are pretty juicey so maybe worth keeping an eye on as if he starts and we win then the 3 BP are almost a given. For the momeent though i wouldn't, he's been starting on the bench and coming on for the last 20-30 mins.

Does anyone think that Berbatov will start scoring again now that Rooney is back?
His goals stopped when Rooney got injured...
I don't get to see any games myself; so I'm basing this off the stats.

    Any thoughts?

My two favourite scenes, if you remember them, are both in season 5...

                A) When the Bunk calls Lester into the interrogation room to dissuade McNulty to continue with his 'serial killer' plan... And Lester starts giving McNulty advice on how to do it, rather than having a go at him. The expressions from McNulty (sheer delight) and Bunk (horror) are absolutely brilliant.

                B) When McNulty and Greggs are meeting with the behaviour analysts to hear their thoughts on the 'serial killer', and the BAU guys give a description that basically describes McNulty.

I remember when Ronaldo was about 8.5m, 1st season he started scoring well, must've gone up to about 11m by the end of that season. Happy days šŸ˜‰

That was my first season and I stole a march on Mark which he never clawed back. It took him till xmas to see the value of Ronaldo.

Never would have guessed at the start of that season that he'd one day be worth £80m.

with elmo and faye on the bench last gameweek do you think that needs some attention rather than malouda? i only ask as i am in a similar position to you with similar fortunes(or not!)- so i was thinking of looking at defence this week and get rid of malouda next- interested in your thoughts

I'm doing Mal to Cahill (or VDV), freeing up the cash to do Elmo to Kolarov (possibly for a 4pt hit, even tho I know 4 pt hits for defs aren't good).

But if you've looked at my ranking, you'll know to ignore everything I say šŸ˜‰

Or Faye to Kolarov, but I'm not sure why Faye got rested, whereas Elmo's place looks like it's gone to World Cup 2010 star (c Alex Ferguson) Danny Welbeck.

i've taken too many 4pt hits ! was thinking of malouda out for A N other next week - but swap alex for vidic /cashley this week - everyone i touch seems to get injured as soon as i put them in! we have same points almost i'm on 611 , dire šŸ™

    GW14

    Hahnemann
    Coleman Toure Konchesky
    Fabregas Bale Nani(C) Brunt Albrighton
    Drogba Tevez

    Foster Dann Elmohamady Carroll

Alright gents, does my team look decent enough to save my transfer? considering if Carroll is out this GW I wont be forced to get rid, i'll just bench him.

Team is pretty much perfect... Do Sunderland and Bolton rotate well then?

You think? I suppose it is a good team but i just reckon it's a bad time to be wildcarding. Don't we all get one in a month and a bit anyway?

Yeah true...we've just passed 1/3 away through the season though and I seem to slowly slowly be falling through the rankings. My thought is to try and pick it up now and keep the momentum through january whe we get the next w.c.

I don't think it is worth it. You'll have the entire period of February - May to gain a big advantage (think double GWs and nice fixtures, certainly nicer than this week) over everyone else who has used their WC already, like me šŸ™

2 budget midfielders doesn't give you much scope to maneuver CS. I'd downgrade Ferdinand to G.Cahill maybe and keep the cash in reserve to fund future trends/transfers.

Looks wonderful now, but I think you'd be better off not wildcarding. Your current team doesn't really need massive restructuring.
