187th in the world. Let me just say that again, 187th in the world!! I’m getting a serious nosebleed up here and my breathing is laboured. How long before I come tumbling back down the mountain?

Meanwhile, Mark is in bits and it’s understandable after the week he’s just had. In addition to my week, Bale out and Malouda captain made it a triple compound injury and the only cure for him is a bit of retail therapy in the form of ‘wildcard window shopping’.

The early transfer comes under discussion. Folly or fortune? It’s also the quarter finals of the Scout Cup III as the draw comes live(ish) from the podcast studio.

So, don’t be an ‘Audley’ Mark, you’ve gotta pick yourself up off the canvas; there’s a 187 here requiring immediate attention.

OK folks we have a glaring mistake in the cup draw. It turns out that Anorak didn’t make the quarter finals, Sandgrounder beat him soundly 54 – 46. So apologies to Sandgrounder and good luck in your tie against Gooner Dave

Newcastle contact FA to request Andy Carroll does not play for England against France

Guarantee that if it were Utd or Chelsea asking the FA the same thing with one of their players, Capello wouldn't pick them. It will be interesting to see whether Carroll plays or not... Hard to deny the guy his international début.

Utd or Chelsea wouldn't ask, they'd just fabricate an injury before he went. Giggs + the phantom international hamstring.

That sounds very much like he COULD play, they'd just prefer it if he didn't.

I can understand why. Carrol is fundamental for the team and I don't think Ameobi can carry the line for Newcastle. Will the FA listen? Better chance of West Ham winning the EPL this year.

Considering that VdV is away to Arsenal this week and Elmander is home to New castle, which one is the better transfer?:

    a) Tevez->Elmander, OR

    b) Malouda->VdV.

Also consider that I bought Tevez for a 4 point hit last week so would it be a bit reckless of me to sell him away just because he had one poor game?

Right, this is make or break time for my team i think (nearly 100 points behind rival, who has VdV but not Malouda and who has used his WC)
    Current squad:
    Foster/Hanhemann
    El-Mohammedy/Coleman/Konchesky/Knight/Simpson
    Fabregas/Nani/Malouda/NZogbia/Albrighton
    Carroll/Tevez/Drogba
2 free transfers this week. Wild Card still intact.

Due to being behind im reluctant to swap Malouda for VdV...but then again im very worried about losing yet more ground.
I’d say fixtures are about even for Spurs and Chels, obviously VdV has the form, Malouda very much doesn’t.
    What do you guys reckon?

because in the last 8 games he's got 1 goal and thats it, i even give him the benefit of the doubt for 2 home games to fulham and sunderland but nothing bak....

also they have 2 tricky away games to newcastle and b'ham, both defences wont be easy, followed by games to everton and utd at home and spurs and arsenal away...

not looking likely that he'll produce any points soon...

any reason? I know he's been rotated a bit recently, but bruce was singing his praises a couple of weeks ago and when he does play he often gets a few points. Is it looking like he'll be permanently rotated now or something?

    Team,

I would really appreciate some advice.

    My current team is

    Schwarzer (Carson)
    Konchesky Jones Faye (Alcaraz Williamson)
    N'Zogbia Malouda Fabregas Arteta VDV
    Drogba Davies (Carroll)
    with 0.3 in the bank.

Is it worth a 4 point hit for
    Faye >> Kolarov?
    Malouda >> Nani?

Is there a better defender to lose for Kolarov?
Have I got the correct guys getting splinters on the pine?

    cheers

Just do Malouda to Nani, wait and see what is going on with the City defence.

    Thinking about offloading Cashley….

One more rise and I can get rid for 8M

Rest of my defence is pretty crap Carr, Faye, Jara, Foley,

Over the next few weeks I could have Bosingwa, Kolarov and Rafael (or even Fedinand if I also do Torres to Roo)

Still a bit apprehensive as the Cashley wagon keeps on rollin’ (I can’t believe people are stumping up 8.4 / 8.5 for a defender).

Where does everyone think the Terry / Alex transfers will end up? Cole, Bos, Ivanonvic or migrate to options from other teams due to poor Chelsea form and tough upcoming fixtures?

Mark, out of interest are you keeping the 'Projetions' part of the Members area updated? Malouda still sitting pretty at the top of projected season points................no worries if not, just wondering

Facing my most agonising decision of the season. Do I bring in Torres for Drogba?? Chelseas midfield is looking quite poor for the next few weeks as is their defence, surely this will have an effect on their strikers??

If Torres was on hot form it'd be a no brainer for me but I don't fully trust him either. I already have Carroll and Tevez.

that's what im most worried about. Chelsea's creative spark is currently: Zhirkov (an average looking left sided player), Mikel (nose bleed over half way line) and Ramieres (has done absolutely nothing). They badly need Lamps and Essien back. which isnt going to happen for 3 weeks.

Torres injured, Drogba mis-firing, Tevez clearly miserable...

x1 five yard tap in and a couple of bonus points and its BLAST OFF!! for the Rooney-wagon I fear.

Liverpool's next few fixtures after West Ham are just enough to put me off Torres for now. Will be very interested in him after GW18.

I am in dilemma on putting who on bench. Need some opinion:
    Who to bench?
Arteta(May get some assists while Saha is back but is playing quite deep)
Nasri(On top form but not given central position)
Albrighton(On top form but it's a gamble choice.)

I need some opinions.Any answer will be highly appreciate. Thanks 🙂

Help required, total brain freeze at the minute

    Opinions are

1-Keep front line of Tevez/Torres/Little Pea
2-Change LP & Torres to Rooney & Gyan
3-Change LP & tevez to Rooney & Elmander
4-Get rid of Lampard(I Know) & LP to Rooney & AN Other

Would it be totally stupid to double-up on MCY defence? I planned to do GW17 Kolo Toure -> Kolarov but now I've got to get rid of Alex. Mancini's MCY is tight at back, their fixture's aren't the worst possible one's and even if Hart is injured, Given is ok debuty. I do believe that Kolarov is the first choice left back, Boateng might be a more safe option, but I think Kolarov is a bigger attacking threat.

Alex -> Vidic/Evra/Rio might be a no-brainer, but then I would have to change radically my other transfer plans which might actually be a good thing but I really wouldn't like to do that.
