As Mark fiddles with his wildcard team (how on earth he’s still got it I don’t know), and everyone else frets over whether to take a(nother) four-point hit, the Saturday Surgery is here to take you through the final hour before the gameweek 15 deadline unscathed. Before making your transfer(s) (if it isn’t already too late), be sure to check out the usual helpful sources…

First of all you have the Team News and the Injuries and Bans pages which, as always, house all the latest injury news and have our predicted line-ups for each Premier League team.

Then you have Mark’s Scout Picks which, given the form of Bolton Wanderers and recent team sheets, surprisingly do not recommend Matt Taylor.

If 14 players is just not enough for you, then underneath the Season Ticker on the home page is the Watchlist. Here you’ll find names of players recommended for the next few weeks or so. This is where Mark gets his Matt Taylor fix.

Once you’re happy/content with your team, you then have to make one of them captain. Don’t worry, we can help you there as well. The middle column on the home page is where you can view the most popular choices for captain this week amongst the Fantasy Football Scout community (4000+ votes cast). Nani and Johan Elmander have been switching positions at the top of that pile all morning, both with around 20% of the total vote.

Finally, we have our Saturday Surgery chatroom, where you can put your decisions to the masses for a final sanity check. That can be found right here.

    Have to say Mark's post this morning about his WC was nothing short of hilarious, that is the nature of the beast, this fantasy football obsession, always trying to hide it from my girlfriend,because in all fairness to her, as willing as she is to pretend she gives a toss that "Nani starts" or "Elmander is in my team", she can't always pretend, so then I go covert on that sh*t!

    Okay, decision time, with the major doubts over VDV, my team is:

    Foster
    Boateng/Jagielka/Vidic (Bardseley 1st sub) (Simpson 2nd sub)
    Nasri/Nani/VDV/Adam (Albrighton 3rd sub)
    Drogba(C)/Elmander/Piquionne

    Have already used 2 freebies, do I:

    (A)do Albrighton OUT Lee IN (4 point hit), bench Lee in case VDV doesn't make it

    or

    (B) do nothing, I am happy with Bardsley coming in for Boateng, grin and bear with Simpson coming in for VDV

        Hello,

        I need your advice on this. Basically my whole bench is injured or suspended, and on top of it it does not look like Van der Vaart will play.

        Robinson (Mignolet)
        Vidic, K. Toure, Crainey, (Terry), (Alcaraz)
        Nani, N'Zogbia, Adam, Van der Vaart, (Barton)
        Drogba (c), Tevez, Carroll

        I have no transfer left this week.
        If Van der Vaart does not play, I will have only 10 players on the pitch... so I am thinking of taking a hit right now (which will cost me 4 points but also save me 2 at the same time if Van der Vaart does not play):

        Terry out (injured + tough fixtures ahead) --> Kolarov in (still cheap, fixtures rather easy).

        This also gives me more money for future transfers.

        Is this a good idea? Thanks for your help.

            The more I think about it, Kolarov won't do a great deal against Stoke, and a 4 point hit to get rid of a fit (sorta) Drogs does seem like lunacy. Cheers Shteve.
