This week’s refresh of the Watchlist – our mid-term recommendation rankings – finds Man City’s assets dominating the top spots across the positions with a favourable run of opponents ahead.

Roberto Mancini’s side have suffered three draws in their last four outings but with Bolton, Everton, Villa and Blackpool all at Eastlands in the next six, City have the potential to reward investment in their offerings at both ends of the field.

Elsewhere, key figures at Blackburn and Liverpool, our other “Highs” from this week’s “Frisking the Fixtures“, are also tipped to recover from weekend disappointments to provide mid-price value over the coming weeks…

Joe Hart and Aleksander Kolarov find their way to the top of the Goalkeeper and Defender rankings respectively, with the fixtures form (2 goals conceded in the last 5) to offer returns going into the Christmas period.

Despite their 7-1 Old Trafford drubbing, Blackburn’s Paul Robinson and Chris Samba, along with cheap “out-of-position” prospect Phil Jones, all enjoy climbs this week. Rovers have conceded just 6 goals in 7 Ewood Park encounters and home fixtures with Wolves, West Ham and Stoke over the next four clearly offer potential.

Liverpool’s big Greek Sotirios Kyrgiakos is the high new entry in the Defender rankings, displacing team mates Paul Konchesky and Glen Johnson who drop out. We will bring you more on the potential offered by the imposing Kyrgiakos in a full Watchlist article tomorrow.

United’s Rafael is the other major new entry – he also ousts team mates in the rankings, nudging above Nemanja Vidic in our top five Defenders off the back of his value at just 5.6 in the Fantasy Premier League game.

In Midfield we see climbs into the top five for both Arsenal’s Samir Nasri (with form) and Blackburn’s Morten-Gamst Pedersen (with form and fixtures). Neither can topple Nani at the top however.

There’s little movement elsewhere with the likes of Tim Cahill, Gareth Bale and Matt Jarvis all holding firm. Rafael Van der Vaart obviously drops out as a result of his recent injury.

Up front we see significant climbs for both Darren Bent and Dimitar Berbatov (unsurprisingly) but Carlos Tevez and Newcastle’s Andy Carroll hold the top two slots. The Bolton pairing of Johan Elmander and Kevin Davies fall from grace as fixtures stiffen up on over the next six, while Robin Van Persie and Jermain Defoe stay bubbling under as they look to establish themselves following injuries.

As always, the rankings are subject to change on a daily basis but I’ve added a new “Updated” flag to alert you when things change. Notable drops, climbs and new entries will be highlighted in scribbles and articles.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

West Ham < Barcelona. But still a fantastic result for us, if Spector doesn't start playing in midfield then, well Grant is a mug to be honest. Alongside Parker, With Obinna having the Fabs role behind the 3 forwards, Obinna Piquionne/Cole Barrera. I actually quite like that team.

dunn could be gold. 6.2 with his fixtures, an attacking position and on pens and only 0.7% ownership is very tempting.

Thats what I'm thinking, I picked up N'Zog before his run of form earlier in the season, MGP is good, but just how good? The penalties is tempting, (C) isn't to farfetched either, its either him Nasri or Nani, None are great options but. Dunn > MGP IMO.

Pop goes the weasel, I know, but MGP has had the more recent injury, minor it may be but still, I wasn't biten by David Dunn's frost bite last season so It doesn't bother me to much to be honest. I can see some games being called off too, Arsenal and Man U games must be a doubt. Sunderland Vs West Ham also.

agree. MGP is obviously more tempting at the moment due to the last month, but yeah dunn reminds me too of n'zogbia at the start of the season. a regular starting place which he now appears to have and the points will come. an injury will probably stop him soon but no point worrying about that until it happens

“I am not humiliated at all. This is the biggest defeat I have ever suffered in league play. It is hard to swallow because we never had a chance of winning. It wasn’t one of those defeats that leave a bad taste in your mouth because we didn’t deserve to lose or because the referee performed badly or because the ball hit the post. One team played as well as it could and the other played badly. It is a deserving win and a deserving defeat, which makes it easy to swallow.

i think fergi should say that during his post match interview!!!

Obviously weather and what have you need to be taken into account, but:

Who's more important for the next 6 weeks or so

    A) Nasri (will Fabregas coming back limit him?)
    B) Tevez (suspension tightrope)
    C) Someone else?

    or

    Dunn ---> VDV
    Rooney/Bent --> Piquionne

I already have 2 united players, and with Roo just coming back Arsenal and Chelsea coming up I'm put off him. Torres has excellent fixtures but no Stevie G to feed him and Bent has pretty good fixtures.

Kakuta and Sturridge are not going to make it. You may as well accept that now. Roman is going to have to dig very very deep again (thanks to city) if you are going to stay a force because your youth team sucks balls by all accounts.

van Aanholt and McEachran both look like very good players though, and Bruma is highly rated although I've only seen him about once.

Agreed on Kakuta. It seems as though he's had it... He had his chance against Zilina and failed miserably. Getting subbed at HT again will have sent his confidence to rock bottom. He'll probably leave on a free at the end of the season...

Sturridge could make it. I don't particularly like him, but there is some ability there.

The "% towards a price change" figures are Fantasy Tools estimates, with a margin for error.

Min is the least they think it could be.
Max is the most it could be.

I had two transfers this week and have already made Arteta => Bale... as more news comes on VDV I'll take him out for either Nasri or MGP (I'll let inspiration dictate that one I guess)...

Is it worth to take a 4 point him on Coleman => Kolarov? Obviously a CS from City would make it a wash, but I guess my question is on people's philosophy on points hits...

But a 'tear' could range from a partial tear, grade 1, to a complete rupture, grade 3.

Judging by his reaction on Sunday, i.e. not in that much pain, I doubt it's particularly bad, but it doesn't seem as though he'll be back any time soon.

Fair enough, but as a guide (and given that it seems to be a recurrence) I'd be surprised if he was back before january- when he'll promptly tear it again thanks to the arctic weather..... 🙁

A 4 pt hit for Kolarov could pay off. Any more than one 4 pt hit for any GW is probably not worthwhile (unless it's a double GW).

January. In all honesty i don't see Bebe making it at Utd. That's the 4th or 5th game i've seen and he just looks a bit average. The wing spots will be Nani/Valencia/Cleverley/New player*

Jarvis averages slightly less than two points in away games. Something I wish I had considered when I bought him.

Davies is relatively poor away from home too, but he isn't that poor.

Disagree on both counts- I think Ponting was always going to come good eventually, he's just that sort of batsman. Finn was clearly bowling to a plan not set by him, personally I think broad/jimmy should be our bouncer men and Finn needs to be there to probe outside the off stump and extract any demons from the pitch.

As for Cook- any batsman who scores 235 not out in Australia against Australia is quality. He also has a brilliant knack of scoring runs even when not in form.......

VDV to Nasri for a 4 point hit

or field Elmander, leaves me only 1 sub who is Coleman though.

So, is Nasri worth 4 points more than Elmander this GW?

        Thats what I am thinking.

My main issue is my bench is currently Coleman, VDV, Albrighton so if Coleman doesn't start I would have no subs at all.

If I bring in Nasri for 4 pts I will at least have Elmander on the bench before Coleman and Albrighton.

Indeed. It's because it isn't made by the same people as Mw2. There's less variety in the classes, and stupid amounts of lag, even when it says there is none. Oh and the spawn rates are stupid AND the map voting is retarded.

      Phew.

Means you can get more points, so do more customizations quicker. Also pointless if you ask me. I had enough points almost all the time, and i'm average at the game. I'm level 50 -i.e prestige level, i won't be doing anymore. MW2 still rules the roost!

The remote control cars are CRAP, i have it as my 2 killstreak and your guarenteed a kill with it every time!

As for the betting, i dont mind that so much, think its a pretty good idea, but dont play it much as it doesnt add to your rank! One in the chamber is a great game.

Spy planes is a much better killstreak than the car. It will easily get you more than 2 kills everytime you have it up and it helps your team = more wins.

For equipment I use claymores. I can see sometimes how the camera would be useful but the enemy can use it to their advantage too.

In Search and Destroy I sometimes put a camera on say B and go and watch A. But most of the time I just play with claymores.

Perks and killstreaks and attachments really depend on the gamemode but for TDM I usually use

AK74U with grip or rapid fire

I can't make my mind up about it. KDR wise and stuff I'm better at Black Ops than I am at MW2. Theres stuff I like about both, although I haven't played Black Ops in over 2 weeks whereas I couldn't get off MW2 when I first get it.

I am a fan of it at the moment, but I feel that the time I will be able to play it, is limited. Have you tried playing in a Party yet? The servers are ridiculous, it takes a good 10 minutes for me and my mate to get in a pre game lobby together. I stayed up until 2 nearly every night in the summer playing MW2, I don't think I will be able to do the same with BlackOps.
