Three Premier League games are served up today, before the heavyweight clash tomorrow night at Old Trafford. We start with two games (both kicking-off at 1.30pm), one at Molineux as Wolves face Birmingham City in a Midlands derby, and the other at the Reebok where the Wanderers will be looking to make it a great sporting weekend for the town of Bolton, as they take on Blackburn Rovers in-front of the Sky cameras.

The team sheets are in from both fixtures, and here is the team news…

Bolton line-up exactly as predicted, with the potent strike-force of Kevin Davies and Johan Elmander heading a 4-4-2. For the visitors, there is just one significant name on the team sheet, or rather omitted from it, as Martin Olsson starts instead of David Dunn, who sits on the bench.

Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Lee, Mark Davies, Holden, Petrov, Elmander, Kevin Davies

Blackburn XI: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Olsson, Emerton, Jones, Pedersen, El-Hadji Diouf, Roberts

As for the derby, and neither Kevin Doyle nor Matt Jarvis shook off injuries to feature in any capacity today. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Stephen Hunt come in. Liam Ridgewell and Craig Gardner don’t make the Birmingham starting line-up, with only the latter on the bench. Nikola Zigic and David Murphy get the nod.

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Berra, Stearman, Elokobi, Foley, Edwards, Milijas, Ward, Hunt, Ebanks-Blake

Birmingham XI: Foster, Carr, Johnson, Dann, Murphy, Larsson, Bowyer, Ferguson, Fahey, Jerome, Zigic

Then it’s down to the capital where a buoyant Spurs play the faltering champions Chelsea at 4pm. The visitors will be desperate to reach the league summit once more, and the hosts will be eager to close the gap to fourth after tasting, and liking, Champions League football.

To keep track of and to join in the discussion of all the day’s action, head to our chatroom which is available right here.

There is more than meets the eye to the Tevezgate saga.

I'd gonna wait and see how things progress this week. I wouldn't even think about getting him in if i didn't have him though.

Mate are you gonna be keeping Malouda?
I may be doing a straight swap for Lampard if Tevez ends up playing

I don't really see the point in swapping Malouda for Lamps.

The problem isn't that Malouda is doing badly, it's that Chelsea are. I think if Lampard is gonna be scoring points then Malouda probably will too. So, i'm probably gonna hold tight and see how Malouda does with Lamps back - only because i need to sort out my defence and a couple of other transfers.

Not sure i agree with that - think Terry was much better than him

But the point stands. If Chelsea had been scoring 2 or 3 each game and Malouda getting nothing then i'd be worried, but they've not, Once they start scoring again (which they will) i fully expect Malouda to be back amongst the points.

In fact Chelsea looked better today than they have the last few weeks tbf

            Yeah. JT was very good actually. Let me rephrase that;
"Malouda was Chelsea's best attacking player"

Anelka and Kalou were awful. Drogba obviously had a presence when he came on. Ramires and Mikel were shite.

Anyone know why Ridgewell of Birmingham didn't play today. He is usually a nailed-on starter.
Also, Malouda was subbed for Lampard. A tactical move, or because he was playing poorly? On the radio, it sounded like Chelsea played better than of late.

I played Torres this week, it was painful to watch him miss the one clear cut chance he had for a goal.

I have to get rid of Tevez as well. I am thinking either Van Persie or Defoe.

If Tevez has really 'played his last game' for City, who do we all think is the best player to keep for coverage during their good run of fixtures (not GK/defenders)?

Yaya Toure - dirt cheap, had a great game yesterday, but inconsistent fantasy wise
Silva - seems to have cemented a spot in the City lineup, only found the goal once but has 4 assists
Balotelli - wild player, looks just as likely to score as getting sent off. Could really see myself getting frustrated with him, but may hit a hot streak during this nice run coming up

tenner for interest at at 3.5

cruyff, i had a weird weekend man.hugely lost opportunity

i ended up hungover all today and didnt make it to bookies- had munster leinster and Toukon all pencilled in for 1-12. didnt do it on betfair as the odds were shite.
Had a single on perpignan yesterday 1-12, but was gutted after a 50 quid doube on ulster and sarries 1-12 was let down by the Sarries being absolutely fooking shite. oppose them for the rest of the season man, theyre done and done, venter is a mug.

had a double northampton and castres 11-20 last night, both won by 1-12.

fascinatingly, every game was 1-12. if i adnt gone out on the gargle id be well up.

But really, EVERY game was 1-12, and won by the better team, bar the aironi result.

Im pretty gutted i didnt clean up this weekend- no more boozing for me on heinekn cup weekends is the lesson.

        SOrry for the essay 🙂

Ill be maing money next weekend for sure!

To distract me from X Factor...

My Suspension Tightrope is now updated.

Changes so far from the weekend:
Adam (5Y), De Jong (5Y), Figueroa (5Y), HThomas (5Y) and MDavies (1R) now banned for GW18 (along with Arteta who is still banned).
Jara, RJohnson, Zigic and Knight the new additions to the tightrope on 4 yellows.
Coloccini, Tiote, Richardson, Larsson, Nelsen, Drogba and Stearman now 2 yellows away from a ban.
Clark, Coloccini, Williamson, Kolarov and Tevez bans now served.

...not including the 'caution' for Elmander that doesn't appear to have registered anywhere (yet?) - it would put him on 3 yellows, 2 from a ban if he does get it.

Good work Anorak, appreciate it. Although in my eyes Tiote is the best thing since Rowntree Randoms included more of the little icecream things, he sure does love his yellow cards.
        And I love Rowntree Randoms.

This has got to be the best ever FPL year. Over the previous years everything got too predictable, same players scoring big, this year has just ebbed and flowed and it's great. Has there ever been a season where you've captained so many different players.

I just couldn't decide who to get in this week so saved my transfer for a more 'predictible' gameweek next week. Still kicking myself for not getting Yaya and benching Adam, but hey a little green arrow is nice. Only my Nasri hit 2 weeks ago has done anything this year.

Thats what gives me such hope - after a blistering start I have slumped badly down the rankings, if it wasn't a bit of a lottery player wise and was as regular as previous seasons I wouldn't really have a hope of catching up. Couple of well judged/lucky picks and I could be back up there.
