The eagle-eyed amongst you will have spotted that we’ve gone live with a new version of the Members’ Season Ticker this evening. There is a new version of the next six ticker on the main site and an update to the full ticker in the Members area.
I’ve made this update to incorporate double Gameweek functionality and Members will now be able to view Blackpool and United’s double fixture in Gameweek 24 on their tickers (this will also be viewable by non-members once Gameweek 24 gets closer). In addition to this functionality, I’ve also included a few new exciting features exclusively for our Members to enjoy…
You Are The Scout
Don’t agree with the Scout team ratings? Is Bolton making a mockery of their current difficulty ranking? Well now, you can change them to suit your opinion or data. Members can click on the Fixture Difficulty button below the ticker and not only view the default rankings assigned to each team, they can also edit these values for themselves. You will see the colours on the ticker changing as values are edited. Ratings will be saved for when you next come back to the browser so you can build your very own custom ratings for your Scout tickers and tweak them as the Gameweeks roll by.
Each team has a rating for Home and Away with the figure reflecting the difficulty posed by playing this team. So if Arsenal have a “Home” rating of 1000, that is the difficulty of a team playing Arsenal at home. Arsenal’s “Away” rating is the difficulty of facing Arsenal at the Emirates.
Pressing the reset button uses the default ratings once more. We will be updating the default ratings for each team very soon and regularly as home and away form changes.
Draggable teams
It can be a pain trying to pair up home and away matches for your cheap goalkeepers and defender rotation needs. With this release, you can now drag team fixtures up and down the table to make fixture comparison a lot easier.
The Difficulty Colour Swatch
This is a thin strip of colour next to the team that represents the average difficulty of the fixtures being shown. As you navigate around the fixtures, or change the ratings, the swatch will change colour accordingly.
Due to the complexity of the ticker, not that I wish to dictate your choice of browser, the ticker is best enjoyed in Google Chrome. It should be compatible with all browsers down to Internet Explorer 6.
Just to stress, the above features are only available in the Members ticker. Non-members will see the double Gameweek functionality however. If you not yet a Member and want to sign up, you can click here for more details.
