The eagle-eyed amongst you will have spotted that we’ve gone live with a new version of the Members’ Season Ticker this evening. There is a new version of the next six ticker on the main site and an update to the full ticker in the Members area.

I’ve made this update to incorporate double Gameweek functionality and Members will now be able to view Blackpool and United’s double fixture in Gameweek 24 on their tickers (this will also be viewable by non-members once Gameweek 24 gets closer). In addition to this functionality, I’ve also included a few new exciting features exclusively for our Members to enjoy…

You Are The Scout
Don’t agree with the Scout team ratings? Is Bolton making a mockery of their current difficulty ranking? Well now, you can change them to suit your opinion or data. Members can click on the Fixture Difficulty button below the ticker and not only view the default rankings assigned to each team, they can also edit these values for themselves. You will see the colours on the ticker changing as values are edited. Ratings will be saved for when you next come back to the browser so you can build your very own custom ratings for your Scout tickers and tweak them as the Gameweeks roll by.

Each team has a rating for Home and Away with the figure reflecting the difficulty posed by playing this team. So if Arsenal have a “Home” rating of 1000, that is the difficulty of a team playing Arsenal at home. Arsenal’s “Away” rating is the difficulty of facing Arsenal at the Emirates.

Pressing the reset button uses the default ratings once more. We will be updating the default ratings for each team very soon and regularly as home and away form changes.

Draggable teams
It can be a pain trying to pair up home and away matches for your cheap goalkeepers and defender rotation needs. With this release, you can now drag team fixtures up and down the table to make fixture comparison a lot easier.

The Difficulty Colour Swatch
This is a thin strip of colour next to the team that represents the average difficulty of the fixtures being shown. As you navigate around the fixtures, or change the ratings, the swatch will change colour accordingly.

Due to the complexity of the ticker, not that I wish to dictate your choice of browser, the ticker is best enjoyed in Google Chrome. It should be compatible with all browsers down to Internet Explorer 6.

Just to stress, the above features are only available in the Members ticker. Non-members will see the double Gameweek functionality however. If you not yet a Member and want to sign up, you can click here for more details.

If you do find a bug, or have a suggestion: please email me at pureolivia@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Pure Olivia Pure Olivia has written a computer program to calculate his team. For some reason, it always scores 42 points. Follow them on Twitter

          Hi The Truth,

Obviously I'm joking by saying that AP's comment was a 'beaut', but I didn't think that Potato Head was particularly impressive today to be honest.

He wasn't nearly as bad as he has been recently, but he still wasn't great for the most part. Koscielny and Squillaci were very decent against him.

wow you ARE going all DBR. The 2008 team is the best utd team of the last 40 years, so obviously that team is better than the current one. Your comment about average players was garbage though, most of the Utd ones were in that 2008 team for starters. Yaya is the definition of average so shaddapyaface.

Saying something disagreeable doesnt make me dbr, my point is that a team has considerably deteriorated in the last two years, as have Chelsea and Arsenal. They really have and I'm shocked that anyone could be so goldfish like to think otherwise.

"considerably deteriorated" - Incorrect. We lost Ronaldo and Tevez, granted two WC players. We signed Berba, hit and miss and a bunch of Youth players who need time. SAF is the master of regeneration, people were saying our team in 2005 was absolutely shocking yet 3 years later we won the league and CL. This team is at the start of the cycle but very much on the up.

Actually I do agree with you Att, although I was a bit sceptical at first. This is definitely the weakest of that lot no doubt and as you said Chelsea and Arsenal have also been weakened now but at least for us I think it's part of cycle and we'll get stronger again. But all we need is now is to be consistant and bit better than the rest 🙂

Yep wouldnt disagree. All three are poor, all three need to up their game, on current form United are doing the best, but Arsenal have potentially a deeper squad, they just need to sort out their defence and keeper, this new lad looks pretty good though.

Yeah that concurs with my point, it just so happens that ALL the big clubs are in a trough so thats what makes the league so hard to call this season. Some teams (Bolton for one) are arguably on a peak so it tightens up the league.

ok now, even more important question. lotta good fixtures this week, and im thinking about benching the naan-bread. Away at chelsea, i could play yaya instead of him, or tevez ( if he has a turnaround of course- lets not get into that now anyway)

With De Jong suspended, isn't there a chance that Yaya will play in a much more defensive role?

I was considering him for this week, but that possbility has put me off massively.

Although you clearly state you dont want to go into, im a little bugger, so I will.

Tevez will surely play. Best player in the team. Cant afford to not play him, and when in "tricky" circumstances Tevez always performs.

the boy is a trojan. I see him doing well this week, not i see him running things, looking for the attention of other clubs.

Please come back to United Carlos. We forgive you.

Milner will play central but possibly behind Yaya. Only saying this because he was so effective there last week.

True. Mancini clearly loves playing Yaya in that advanced role, and Milner hasn't really excelled when he's had the chance to play there.

          It's still a risk though.

                put it this way

when your a average player surrounded by bad players you shine....jst like milner at villa

do you really think milner deserves to be around silva balotelli y.toure and tevez

balotelli is a first-class finisher who is only 19...he has anger issues but he has about 10x more potential than milner can ever dream of having

    My team is:

    Hart
    Baines, Toure, Vidic (foley) (Tamas)
    Nani, Arshavin, Nasri, Cahill (Ferguson)
    Elmander, Berbatov, Carroll

Im top of my work league but only by 5 points and thinkin of a new striker and possibly a midfielder for this week.

reckon striker options are Chamakh, RVP, Odemwingie or Torres.
midfielders im thinkin bale, VDV, Nolan OR Yaya Toure.

Nah it's deflected of Clichy and altered it's direction so under the FPL rules, no assist.
There's no excuse why Carroll didn't get his however.

        if you watch that

you can clearly see that carroll hit the ball up...then it hit skyrtel changed direction and picked up a heluva lot of speed

Hahaha! Thought he was off to Iran or something. It was crazy before Pardew came in, I sort of feared it would be him, but just seeing all the names and the bookies odds changing, I honestly had no idea until the night before he was appointed. It was Pardew for sure, then definitely Jol, then he ruled himself out so it was O'Neill then Keegan (?!) then etc etc etc. Mad stuff.

oh ok, that is a pretty hardcore defence.

As for the cleanie, of course there are no certainties but we are playing West Ham at Ewood! The Hammers have scored 4 (yes FOUR!) away goals all season and we are reasonably tight at home so good chance i'd say. Wouldn't expect too much of a reaction to Allardyce leaving, plus we may well have a new manager in place then so if anything it may be a feel good factor (who knows?)

Evening chaps, quick question,is Tevez price going down tonight.....and..it's not that easy, will he play this weekend and perform well or bomb because he's cheesed off? This is not a question for RBJ because he failed so miserably in our morning arrangement..and yes I checked. Mr P.Mginty's flight arrived on time at Biggin Hill with plenty of time for you to fulfill the agreement.

Flynn, re Tevez - I have no idea about the money thing, not my bag - but I for one am going to keep an eye on what City do with their captaincy, if they leave it with Tevez they clearly expect him to be on the pitch more often than not, if they strip him of it Im going to sell.

2 free transfers this week suggestions?

i think time to get rid of krul as i already have simpson, would it be wise to double up with blackburn?

Certainly not now that Allardyce has gone...

Maybe Tevez OUT Torres IN, and Cahill OUT VDV IN? Although that doesn't get rid of Krul, but I can't be arsed to look at which keeper rotates well with Al-Habsi.

seeing as wigan are pretty random, you cant find a keeper to rotate well with al habsi

Jaask does, not that it particularly works well in terms of points though

    i got 44 this week
    annoyin that berbatov didnt play.
playin 5 in midfield was probs a good shout against arsenal, but 4-42 would of made for a more exciting game, wanna see some berba and rooney link up play

The one thing you cant say about my opinions is that they are "misguided"...... i don't follow anybody in the first place 😉

But still anything you think is foolish id be more than happy for you to point out.

    The Truth's final thought:

SAF will smell blood at Stamford Bridge, and go for the win. Should United beat Chelsea (though I can easily see Chelsea nicking it), then they will be 6 points apart, with United having an away trip to Blackpool in hand.

Should that happen and I think Chelsea's challenge could be pretty much over should they get beat at the Emirates.

All very circumstantial, but I think that scenario is a possibility and what a dramatic turn of fortunes it would be for Chelsea.
