So the weather has decimated our Fantasy Saturday with now over half off today’s fixtures called off. Birmingham vs Newcastle – gone. Wigan vs Aston Villa – gone. Liverpool vs Fulham – gone. Arsenal v Stoke – gone (that four point hit to buy Nasri at the last minute is looking genius!).
Undoubtedly that’ll see Fantasy Managers in all sorts of a tizz as highly selected and favoured players such as Fernando Torres, Andy Carroll, Samir Nasri, Charles N’Zogbia, Ben Foster (the list goes on) will all be busy doing nothing this weekend.
We must push on with what is left of the day as Sunderland and Bolton kick off this rather restricted affair…
Steve Bruce has seen Anton Ferdinand pass a late fitness test to return to action with no games – not quite the month predicted- out and starts all three of his forward Welbeck, Gyan and Bent. Owen Coyle recalls Fabrice Muamba to the starting XI in place of the suspended Mark Davies while Matty Taylor comes in for Chung-Yong Lee. Teams in full are…
Sunderland XI: Gordon, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Mensah, Bardsley, Henderson, Cattermole, Richardson, Welbeck, Gyan, Bent
Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Taylor, Holden, Muamba, Petrov, Elmander, Kevin Davies
The Dugout Discussion will be open throughout whatever games we manage to get today as normal. From a personal standpoint, hopefully tomorrow (and Monday) is disrupted much less as I’ve got 9 of my players waiting to play in those games… Go away snow.
