Man City have confirmed that the Eastlands clash with Everton will go ahead this evening, barring any late downturn in weather conditions.

Although temperatures had dropped to -15C in the area last night, City have stressed that the pitch is in “perfect condition” and that they are not expecting a pitch inspection prior to kick-off.
Good news for some Fantasy Managers who invested in the likes of Aleksandar Kolarov and Carlos Tevez prior to a Gameweek that has so far seen just two games played.

Tevez is set to start for City tonight but it is widely expected that he will relinquish the captaincy, with Kolo Toure restored as club skipper. Roberto Mancini’s decision is yet to be confirmed but, from his statement over the weekend, the City boss made it clear that Tevez will play a part tonight and that he is expecting the usual level of performance from the Argentine…

“Carlos is a football player and he loves football. He plays like he did when he was young, in the garden. Every day, whether in training or in an important match, he always plays the same way.”

Significant returns for Tevez tonight would change the entire complexion of the Gameweek, particularly for those who took the risk on handing the striker their Fantasy Premier League armband. Tevez could prove a major differential in what would be a key Gameweek in the Fantasy season for all the wrong reasons.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

        Yours easy...
Tevez (c) and Chaill is the 6 you are behind, plus Kolarov covers Hart, and you have the chance of three players to get goals assists bps etc.

    Another captain question... sorry!

If the emergency captain doesn't play, my rival's is Nani, then does it keep going by value until it finds one that does play?

Or do you just get one, if he doesn't play, tough luck?

Starting to get a tad annoyed with the stupid questions regarding auto subs etc. Here goes.

My emergency captain is set to form, I have X player and Y player, which it will it be ?

Well it is simple, you click on your team and then click data view just above your keeper. Or for those to lazy to do that, click here </a. That way you don't even have to type it into the URL at the top 🙂

I have Y player coming of the bench, and he is top of form, which is my emergency (C) strategy, will he be my (C) ?

Yes, yes he will, auto substitutions are done before auto captain changes if you like, so your subs get put in, then your (C) is decided.

My highest value player is Drogba, will he be my emergency (C) for this GW?

No, he will not, your captain will always be someone that plays, unless all your team do not play, which would be unfortunate at best.

For more stupid, stupid questions please READ THE FRICKIN RULES or CLICK HERE if you are too lazy to even do that. Rant over.

I've been thinking for a while that there should be something on the site that covers off the questions that are going to get asked over and over: Autosub questions, dubious assists, injury updates to players who have been subbed during a game. Personally I think that the knee jerk should be used to answer these. Sure would save a lot of time (and site traffic).

    Lazio -

    08/09: 25 appearances, 2 goals & 2 assists
    07/08: 24 appearances, 1 goal & 1 assist

    Serbia -

    Exceptional scoring.

I actually do have him. In the hope that City won't play negative Italianate football, or that they at least get some CSs, or failing that the BP judges fall for his spectacular shooting attempts.

His goals have all been exceptionally good, they're just not that frequent. His set piece potential is somewhat more promising...

He is a big risk to get in. He's had one hell of a year though, the Russian first division starts in February so he played in that until the World Cup, and then as soon as the World Cup finished he came back and was playing for Moscow in the league straight away up until he signed for us. Since then he has been a pretty regular figure, and also made his debut for us less than 24 hours before he landed in England.

      Crazy.

Its all well and good the manager saying that he risks burn out but at the end of the day you don't have a quality replacement for him to rotate with, my guess is that he will sit out the Cup games and not complete every game all the time, West Brom do not have the luxury of leaving out quality players if fit, the squad is not deep enough at this level.

Yeah, I still think he'll play if he is fit though, and surely we'll get another striker in January, none of our other strikers are fit to lace his boots apart from Cox.

Yeah, I've been wanting to get him in since the game down here as he was very impressive and think I will go for it, brought van Persie in on Sat for Torres because of the cancellation, that went well and don't want to hold on to him, your man would be a decent replacement, a sort of budget van Persie as the scoring potential is very similar.

This gameweek surely settles the 'emergency strategy' debate - it has to be value over the lottery of 'form' every time...

Surely, in any normal Gameweek, you look at the player who will get it according to value, and look at the player who will get it according to form, and decide. Or is that too simple?

Normal 'celebs' look like their expensive stuff is wearing them not the other way around. Amy Williams in particular just looks to me like a proper woman.

Realistically, no. I just don't think we can do it, we are to far behind IMO, and I just don't think we can do it, Scott Parker isn't as great as people make him out to be either, in fact, I'm not a fan of his. At all.

You aren't that far behind in all honesty, 3 points is nothing but it's the myth I suppose, bottom at Christmas and your going down. I thought Parker was easily your best player if I'm honest, but I don't watch him every week.. The media love to bum off him though.

I'm a West Brom fan and he should carry on playing, he's doing the business when he's starting and James Morrison & Jerome Thomas are playing worse at the moment and are more likely to be dropped in my opinion. He still won't be great long term though, but give him a few weeks at least, Brunt is your best bet.

He wasn't injured. He's a bit of a donkey in all honesty, who looks quite awkward playing on the wing but when he gets going he's surprisingly decent, strong, fast with a good shot on him.

Don't actually know, on the wing or centre mid but don't know which is his best. He does look awkward as a Footballer to be honest but is a very effective player, he's strange.

Would it be the correct decision to keep him in?

        Who nose? 😉

he looks a great player in reality, but as far as the world of FF goes hes prob not worth it.

Theres too many good players in contention for my attack, I expect WBA to play a 5 man midfield against sme teams with the odem news

We've played 5 in midfield every game this season.. Anyway, he won't be good long term, Odemwingie and Brunt are the ones you should go for if you want coverage.

Having seen his nose myself, I would keep him in...

Potentially a great differential in a team who always seem to score...

Anyone expect the bonus points to actually reflect the game for once tonite? At this stage i think most wud agree the bps shud be scrapped.

or perhaps use Opta stats to award them not 3 blokes sitting around picking the same old players (the ones they have in their teams!) and paying no attention to the actual game!

I'm sure we may disagree with some of the picks if we went with Opta stats but it has to be a fairer way of doing things

There must be a way to award them more fairly i wud rather the opta stats method as opposed to how its done at the minute.

Sometimes a player will get bonus points and I'll be really glad, even if they're not a player that I own, because they just didn't deserve to walk away from the match with a measly 2 points. Lucas against Chelsea, for example.

Maybe you exaggerating Iceman but to say that if it happened tonight it would happen "for once" is ridiculous. Do you really think that there hasn't been a single game in which the bonus points reflected the game?

It is an exaggeration i admit, but generally the guys who get the points dont deserve them
