With the game between Fulham and West Ham at 12pm, today’s Matchday Surgery has turned into an early Dugout Discussion. It’s essentially the same thing however, just follow this link to our chatroom for pre-deadline discussion.

I’ve no team news to bring you yet for the game at Craven Cottage, but unfortunately I do have a couple of postponements to notify you of…

  • Blackpool Vs. Liverpool – OFF

It was always going to be the most likely Premier League game to fall foul of the weather, and that has proved true. A frozen Bloomfield Road pitch is once again responsible for the postponement.

  • Everton Vs. Birmingham City – OFF

Having passed the “key test” live on Sky Sports News yesterday morning (yeah, I was watching Sky Sports News on Christmas morning), this cancellation comes as somewhat of a surprise. The reason for this game being off is “due to the adverse weather conditions in Liverpool overnight the stadium is not in a fit condition to stage a Premier League football match”, as given on the Everton website.

If any more games are called off before the Fantasy Premier League deadline, I’ll update this article and announce it in the chatroom.

    Surely this blackpool thing cant continue they just have to play home games elswhere or something. Three home games in a row cancelled,more set to be cancelled over the coming months its ridiculous! My local club cant get promoted because their facilities arent good enough that rule should have applied to blackpool

            I almost feel like not putting them in as some sort of futile self defeating protest at how much theyve screwed me over this season. They must now consider playing home games elsewhere surely. Anger and disappointment aside i agree its pointless at the moment especially since the teams they'll have their double gameweeks against are top teams. Although thats debatable re: liverpool :-p

                    Even if he wasn't what sense is there in taking off your top goal scoring when you're chasing the game? I heard some guy on the radio a few weeks ago saying Mark Hughes was a terrible manager and he's going to take Fulham down, i'm beginning to agree with him.                     was on about that all last night. took the captaincy off him and gave it to Davies because of it, at the risk of him being sub-par if he plays. This game is only fun when youve a differential, and when the favourite for the captaincy that all your rivals will pick could be less than 100%, you've got to take the chance as far as im concerned

                      Completely agree mate. I gave the captaincy to Rooney with auto-captain set to value (Drogba) and my two main rivals have Nani. So best case scenario for me is he comes on with 15 minutes to go and does nothing

                            Agger cant play left back unless its a crisis situation and Aurelio has never been started left back in a premier league game.

                            Nothing suggestion Koncheksy will be rested and Liv havent had any games recently and Roy likes him obviously.

                        I think this is a big misconception. Konchesky wont be rotated unless very tired (this may happen in next couple of gameweeks because of fixture congestion, but this risk is present for almost every player in the league) kyriakos on the other hand may well just lose his place outright to agger, although if i was hodgson id be inclined to stick with him
