With the game between Fulham and West Ham at 12pm, today’s Matchday Surgery has turned into an early Dugout Discussion. It’s essentially the same thing however, just follow this link to our chatroom for pre-deadline discussion.

I’ve no team news to bring you yet for the game at Craven Cottage, but unfortunately I do have a couple of postponements to notify you of…

  • Blackpool Vs. Liverpool – OFF

It was always going to be the most likely Premier League game to fall foul of the weather, and that has proved true. A frozen Bloomfield Road pitch is once again responsible for the postponement.

  • Everton Vs. Birmingham City – OFF

Having passed the “key test” live on Sky Sports News yesterday morning (yeah, I was watching Sky Sports News on Christmas morning), this cancellation comes as somewhat of a surprise. The reason for this game being off is “due to the adverse weather conditions in Liverpool overnight the stadium is not in a fit condition to stage a Premier League football match”, as given on the Everton website.

If any more games are called off before the Fantasy Premier League deadline, I’ll update this article and announce it in the chatroom.

    Looking very nice for me this week so far. My main rival has 4 defenders from all the games called off and also has Torres and Cahill. His only playing defender, Hangeland, has already conceded 2 goals. Things are looking up. 🙂

    My IKTS predictions have been atrocious this season I banked on a Fulham home win because of West Ham's terrible away record. He becoming nothing short of unbelievable really........I actually thought in the back of my head that West Ham would probably get a result today because I'd banked on Fulham. F**in unbelievable!

    This Player Manaeger game is the biggest joke ever. I got none of my player allocated (out of 35) and ends up with Reina, Torres, Ridgwell, Samba and Skrtel. Those games were deemed to be off before teh deadline, I am happy to get allocated some random players but not 5 who will not play

              Agreed. It's what makes him a decent fantasy option, although 6.8 is possibly a little too expensive for me...

              He's always towards the top of the number of shots taken, and his assist record in the past four years is pitiful. Never more than 3 assists in a season.

    Since we are seeing a five (or maybe three) day procession to an England/Wales/(Sth Afr) win at the G, I thought everyone on here might enjoy a joke.

    An Englishman, an old Greek lady, a young and buxom Swiss lady and an Australian are riding a train through the Alps. The whole carriage goes dark as they go through a tunnel and there is a massive "whack" sound. When light is restored to the carriage at the end of the tunnel the Englishman has a red mark on his cheek that is clearly a slap mark.

    The Englishman thinks that the Aussie must have groped the Swiss girl and she tried slapping him but missed and got him instead.

    The little old Greek lady thinks the Englishman groped the Swiss girl and she slapped him.

    The Swiss girl thinks the Englishman tried groping her, but he missed and got the Greek lady instead and she slapped him.

    The Aussie thinks:
    "I can't wait for another tunnel so I can whack the Englishman again"
