With the game between Fulham and West Ham at 12pm, today’s Matchday Surgery has turned into an early Dugout Discussion. It’s essentially the same thing however, just follow this link to our chatroom for pre-deadline discussion.

  • Blackpool Vs. Liverpool – OFF

It was always going to be the most likely Premier League game to fall foul of the weather, and that has proved true. A frozen Bloomfield Road pitch is once again responsible for the postponement.

  • Everton Vs. Birmingham City – OFF

Having passed the “key test” live on Sky Sports News yesterday morning (yeah, I was watching Sky Sports News on Christmas morning), this cancellation comes as somewhat of a surprise. The reason for this game being off is “due to the adverse weather conditions in Liverpool overnight the stadium is not in a fit condition to stage a Premier League football match”, as given on the Everton website.

If any more games are called off before the Fantasy Premier League deadline, I’ll update this article and announce it in the chatroom.

    Need to get a defender in. Should I get rid of Coleman or Elmo?

    - Coleman pros: is a starter; cons: will have only 1 on bench for backup this GW
    - Elmo pros: will get atleast 1 point; cons: not a starter = will probably get max 1 point

      I think fielding Simpson or Bardsley could be a disaster. Are you gathering coin?
      I would either double up on ManUtd defense, or get a Fulham defender/Foley

        Money is being reserved for the Bale->VDV transfer if VDV can prove he is fit. Will probably bring in Salcido now for Coleman and then possibly bring a Sunderland defender next week. Will have a bit of time to decide on Kyrgiakos and whether he will hold his spot with Agger back.

    Hi Guys just wondering if it is worth holding tight on using up my 2nd free transfer of the week and saving it for next week or not?

    Vidic Onuoha Bosingwa (Dann Big Greek)
    Nani (C) Nasri Yaya MGP (Adams)
    Kevin Davies Torress Carrol

    I have 5mil in the bank but would like to save as much as possible for the Lampard transfer in the next couple of weeks

    or
    Adams to N'Zog?

      Having Gerrard and Torres looks a tad risky to me.

      Good to have one or the other from next week, but looks a mistake to have both at the minute.

      I'd say Torres to Rooney or Gerrard to Lampard (if you could afford it) would be fine.

    Right, please give me some advice here, I need to know which player to bench, and which to captain.

    Obviously I needed to bench one of the above Mid/Att.
