With the game between Fulham and West Ham at 12pm, today’s Matchday Surgery has turned into an early Dugout Discussion. It’s essentially the same thing however, just follow this link to our chatroom for pre-deadline discussion.

I’ve no team news to bring you yet for the game at Craven Cottage, but unfortunately I do have a couple of postponements to notify you of…

  • Blackpool Vs. Liverpool – OFF

It was always going to be the most likely Premier League game to fall foul of the weather, and that has proved true. A frozen Bloomfield Road pitch is once again responsible for the postponement.

  • Everton Vs. Birmingham City – OFF

Having passed the “key test” live on Sky Sports News yesterday morning (yeah, I was watching Sky Sports News on Christmas morning), this cancellation comes as somewhat of a surprise. The reason for this game being off is “due to the adverse weather conditions in Liverpool overnight the stadium is not in a fit condition to stage a Premier League football match”, as given on the Everton website.

If any more games are called off before the Fantasy Premier League deadline, I’ll update this article and announce it in the chatroom.

          Cheers for the article Akers, i wouldnt have realised these 2 were called off without it!

          but no one knows?
          surely in a site which brings together people from all over england, those in manchester, london, blackburn, newcastle, wolves, birmingham could all offer opinions?

          I can tell you right now, im from the midlands in ireland and a if there was a game scheduled, i am confident it would go ahead! 😀

          Even those with better ideas of english geography then me could offer some skeptical idea of well...blackpool was called off, newcastle is north , in same weather spot as bpool, so that might go?

          Im not looking for definite's, if we had those, they would be in your article, but opinions, there is probably LOADS

    Said it last week and I'll say it again - if Blackpool want to play with the big boys, they need to spend some cash on their ground. It's bloody ridiculous that they've now stuffed up three clubs' fixture list. I'm starting to hope they go back down.
