With the game between Fulham and West Ham at 12pm, today’s Matchday Surgery has turned into an early Dugout Discussion. It’s essentially the same thing however, just follow this link to our chatroom for pre-deadline discussion.

I’ve no team news to bring you yet for the game at Craven Cottage, but unfortunately I do have a couple of postponements to notify you of…

  • Blackpool Vs. Liverpool – OFF

It was always going to be the most likely Premier League game to fall foul of the weather, and that has proved true. A frozen Bloomfield Road pitch is once again responsible for the postponement.

  • Everton Vs. Birmingham City – OFF

Having passed the “key test” live on Sky Sports News yesterday morning (yeah, I was watching Sky Sports News on Christmas morning), this cancellation comes as somewhat of a surprise. The reason for this game being off is “due to the adverse weather conditions in Liverpool overnight the stadium is not in a fit condition to stage a Premier League football match”, as given on the Everton website.

If any more games are called off before the Fantasy Premier League deadline, I’ll update this article and announce it in the chatroom.

    that spurs lineup has thrown me. no crouch or pavyl? obviously going for pace against villa.

    heard rumours of carroll going to spurs for 20 mil. as a toon fan i'm not happy. also rumours bent could replace him from sunderland for 12mil. You heard it here first. Sounds crazy but with Mike C-Ashley in charge wanting to drip every last penny out of newcastle before he sells who knows. just putting it out there.

          thought part of the reason hughton is because he would have tried to block the move. makes no sense newcastle selling him but nothing up there does. Spurs sign tall young english centre forward for 20mil sounds possible for me. carroll wouldn't turn down champions league football.

    Can someone explain a few things to me about the form emergency captain?

    It is calculated over the previous 5 games not including the current one, correct?

    If a player has not played a game in the past 5 gameweeks, is his 0 points included in his form?

    How is it decided who the emergency captain will go to if there are 2 players with the same highest form points?

      Yes, 0 is included if he doesn't play.

      I thought it was previous 6 games?

      It goes to Value if 2 players joint with Form.
