The double-gameweeks start right here, right now as round two in the battle of the ‘Pools kicks off in the Premier league and the Dugout Disucssion opens it’s doors especially. Ian Holloway is playing host to his hero Kenny Dalglish and there’s all sorts of interesting tittle-tattle to take from this game…

Charlie Adam is considered one of the hot properties of this winter transfer window and now he has another chance to show just what he’s worth. Perversely, Liverpool are reported to have entered to race for the Scot so will want to see their target play a blinder but somehow come a cropper this evening.

As for the teams, the baby boom continues on Merseyside as new father Glen Johnson is drafted back into the Liverpool defence, seemingly at left-back with Fabio Aurelio not capable of two games in a week, Martin Kelly more than deserving of his place in the XI and Paul Konchesky very much on the bench and out of the fray. The midfield gets even stranger as two of Liverpool’s worst summer signings -Milan Jovanovic and Christian Poulsen- are drafted in. Can Kenny get out of them what Roy Hodgson couldn’t? I’m guessing we’ve got a 4-3-2-1 on our hands, but it’s hard to tell.

Blackpool meanwhile set out a fairly predictable side after the rest the FA Cup afforded the squad, Elliot Grandin has sufficiently recovered from injury to jump right back into the starting side. Line-ups in full are…

Blackpool XI: Kingson; Eardley, Evatt, Cathcart, Crainey; Adam, Vaughan, Grandin; Taylor-Fletcher, Campbell, Varney

Liverpool XI: Reina; Kelly, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson; Poulsen, Lucas; Kuyt, Meireles, Jovanovic; Torres

We will of course be keeping a close eye on affairs in the Carling Cup too. Arsenal are looking to get a head of steam on Ipswich in their first leg. The Dugout Discussion is of course on hand for anyone needing their Wednesday night fix.

Wellbeck is on the mend. Bruce, reckons he's got a good chance of playing. Best to wait for more news on Friday. Konchesky does need to go tho'.

MerryMicheal are you there? Dog still not found by the way, but he was spotted today in a field at Walton off Sharpham Lane, about the same time you left a message here saying have I tried Sharpham Lane. Are you some kind of psychic? Amazing. Also do you know the local area well?

I used to cycle all around there, when I was much younger - so I know it quite well - it just seemed the sort of place a naughty/confused dog might be comforted by, is all. I do hope you get him soon, though.

its not really the kind of place where kids wander around. It's got a private school there and they'll do it for free and all the little primary school kids there are on the case. Not really a fighting dog area as well. I'm trying not to think about that scenario.

MerryMichaelW - your local knowledge is exemplary. there's some woods at the back of the field that we think he is sheltering in. Back tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Charlie Adams and Evatt bps - wahoo! Its a sign that I'll find him tomorrow.

Depends on the FFS midfield 4 of Fabregas, Nani, Adam & VDV. If they fail then the other 7 players will be the decider. If it's a tough week then 35% is probably being conservative. One week there was 196 entered & only 83 would have survived without looking at hits.

For those in the Millionaire Club, the score to survive this week were: 46 no hit, 47 with one hit, 50 with 2 hits, 54 with 3 hits, 58 with 4 hits, 61 with 5 or more hits. I doubt many here wouldn't have passed those scores this week. Pretty easy week with the dgw that most FPL players ignore or disregard.

Did anyone outside the top 1000 overall actually get a red arrow?

Finally past the 600 mark, on 602 atm. Looks like another boring 2 days of FPL with my trade being made, bench players pretty much picked due to injury or dropped. Only struggle is picking a captain. Thinking my wildcard in GW24 is an option I might take up rather than taking a hit next week. Would have to organise a mini plan for the next 4ggle is picking a captain. GWs of course.

For those in the Millionaire Club, this is the current ranks for January. A few common posters like Chamakh That, dadoune30 & tripperlips in the top 20.

    http://fantasy.premierleague.com/M/table.mc?id=439340&phase=7

Up to 610 entered. Strangely even with an easy DGW, there would have been a few teams getting knocked out.

Very true.. Will need my midfield and forwards to perform as my defence is a bit of a mess for this week.

We have very similar sides so we will both survive or get knocked out.

Fair enough, you are entitled to your opinion. Easy weeks like these will make your statement more valid. One hard week where everyone sucks will get rid of most teams.

        thanks Snooze.

That's what I've been leaning towards as I'd also save a few £'s with Berbatov. Just that Rooney could do well and is a bigger differential and, will either of them play both games? More head scratching methinks!
