With the free wildcard window well and truly open, there’s a lot more to ponder this week for us fantasy mangers. If you’ve already succumbed and activated yours, then there is just over an hour to make any final tinkering. If, like me, you have resisted, then the normal ritual applies (or do as I, and close your eyes and pray this week).

Whatever you situation, the Saturday Surgery is here to take you through the deadline…

As always, there are some useful places on the site to visit this morning, particularly if you’re yet to finalise your plans. The Team News section houses all the predicted line-ups for this weekend. Check out the Injuries and Bans page to see how long your fantasy stars are absent for. Last night’s Scout Picks are also worth a gander, with prospective players for this upcoming gameweek highlighted.

Lastly, don’t forgot to consider this week’s Captain’s Poll, which you’ll find on the middle column of the site’s home page. The people have spoken, and at the top this week is Carlos Tevez with a comprehensive 37% of the total votes.

    Stockdale has a double gameweek next week but if Australia were to get knocked out in the quarters of the Asian Cup Schwarzinator would be back

    Guys bit of a dilemma i have drogba and torres and really want tevez/dzeko for man city cover and not sure which to sell for them, I was set on selling torres but now with doubt over drogba should he be to go? even do PP have him favourite to score?!

      link doesn't work. I dropped torres this week to get Tevez in for Wolves and get him back next week. But I'm having second thoughts because Everton is the type of game he could just score in. Not too sure what the situation with Drogba is, maybe we'll have more news before the deadline

        don't knock it, you can't really judge on how wise it is until the final whistle... i did the same by the way, i'm clinging to the hope that malouda or anelka will be the one to make way and drogba will play and get back to form... this time of the season brave/stupid moves like this can make the difference when striving for points, as too many people at this point tend to have the same people with the same captains.. the whole point of differentials is going against the grain and making your own path. I hope it works out for both of us...
