With the free wildcard window well and truly open, there’s a lot more to ponder this week for us fantasy mangers. If you’ve already succumbed and activated yours, then there is just over an hour to make any final tinkering. If, like me, you have resisted, then the normal ritual applies (or do as I, and close your eyes and pray this week).

Whatever you situation, the Saturday Surgery is here to take you through the deadline…

As always, there are some useful places on the site to visit this morning, particularly if you’re yet to finalise your plans. The Team News section houses all the predicted line-ups for this weekend. Check out the Injuries and Bans page to see how long your fantasy stars are absent for. Last night’s Scout Picks are also worth a gander, with prospective players for this upcoming gameweek highlighted.

Lastly, don’t forgot to consider this week’s Captain’s Poll, which you’ll find on the middle column of the site’s home page. The people have spoken, and at the top this week is Carlos Tevez with a comprehensive 37% of the total votes.

Good on SSN for backing Merson. Glen Johnson is a complete bell end. Also thoroughly enjoyed watching Carra sitting uncomfortably as the non-liverpool element of the panel picked apart his team. "Adam is certainly better than many of Liverpool's current midfield." Didn't hear Carra or Thompson chiming in to disagree. Lovely stuff.

        A bit of both really... Drogba being benched would have absolutely crippled me, and Tevez scares the shit out of me every time I don't have him!
        
        Even if Drogba does play I still think that Tevez is the better bet for this week. His home record isn't excellent, but that's down to luck (or a lack of it) more than anything.

Wowsers, playing round with an accumulator, and came up with Sunderland Man City Blackpool Liverpool and Spurs Vs Man U Draw, stick a pound on, and get 90 back, wowsers, stuck Tomkins to score in there and I get over £1600 Pound! Wishful thinking I know, but for a pound its not bad. Wish I didn't stick a fiver on Tomkins just scoring now. Can anyone see that coming in?

        Absolutely terrible. He is the most lazy player I have ever seen. He retained posession about twice in the 75 minutes he played Vs Brum and also played terrible Vs Wolves. Very different player when you see him in the flesh.
