You can almost taste the romance of a Gameweek under floodlights. A midweek Fantasy deadline is upon us which presents the usual opportunity to sneak some last minute squad tweaks, armed with “actual real-life” teamsheets.

There are four matches tonight at the Emirates, Old Trafford, the Stadium of Light and the Hawthorns. Should you wish to gain the advantage of some early insight into the lineups from those games then the best place to source the information is our Dugout Discussion Chatroom.

We’ve opened it up nice and early to accommodate all your nighttime natterings.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      Morning Jafa!

I need advice: What should have been an easy rooney-->tevez this week has now trned into a "nightmare"....

Do I give berba or Rooney the "golden handshake"?

        Good evening, Inze.

Hmmm...has Roonio turned the corner you reckon?

How bad is the Tevez injury?

Can we say Berba is a season keeper?

If you had waited till g27, you could have indulged in some luxurious fantasy fine dining and had none of these problemos 😉

Fair point, Bojan. Still see Berba notching a few with his 25 goal target to aim for. I think the ideal forward right now looks like:

            Berba RVP Tevez.

agree jafald but it worries me with away games and in the tough games saf has dropped him. he tends to get his goals in bunches.
bent has the fixtures on paper but im not sure who is on pens at villa, presuming young.

who will you guys bench in GW27?

no idea about ars-spurs yet, has me worried cause im lookin at 5 players out that week at the moment.

One of Tevez/Nani/Rooney or Berba is going to have to warm my bench in gw 27.

Not to worry, will prob be some injuries or confirmed rotation to solve the problem!

Not sure if Rooney has turned ths corner, but it seems it's best to stick with the ManU striker that's on penos and has the best form(for the moment!)

No idea about the tevez injury.

I dont think any striker is a "season keeper". They go thru ups and downs and the problem is to get lucky and get them when they are on the up and sell when they are down.(I missed rvp with a week!)

Haha, nah Im happy I WC last week. Worked out fine last week and this week so far. Will try and roll 2 free trades for gw 27/28.

However, I comfort myself with the happy thought that you needed to play your WC because:

            a. you were doing badly

            b. you'd slipped down the rankings

It stands to reason that you will keep on making the same old mistakes and end up no better off!

              None of the above.

              c. I felt gw 24 was a potential high scoring double gw with nice fixtures. It turned out I was correct. It was also possible to set up your team to allready have some decent double gw players for gw 27.

              So far so good.

Spurs are a much better team than what they've been in a long time. Two things, where do they get their money from? They always seem to be after expensive players, who you would think would be beyond their finances. The next thing, will they keep a hold of Bale in the summer? I wrote an earlier post in this thread shortly after the summer expressing my surprise that Liverpool had kept a hold of Torres. Can Spurs now do the same with Bale with Inter Milan, Man City, and Barcelona interested?

      1. A decade of sound finances orchestrated by ENIC.
      2. Inter is a muppet club. Have had a couple of fine years following the match fixing scandals that left all the other Seria A top teams in tatters. They are just a hype. City: Won't sell to a rival. Barca: pay up. It will cost you the 2nd biggest fee of all time.

Yep, 167 is the total points his captain picks have scored, 307 is the total points of his highest scoring player each week. 60% seems to be excellent, over 50% very good, most are high 40%'s.

                I'd like to apologise.

This week I've not only let myself down, I've let my team and my captain's percentage down.

I shall endeavour to make up for it in GW 27, but secretly hope this week's % goes down even more as that would mean I'd get players scoring double figures tonight 😉

Phew. Dodged a bullet with Malouda's 10 min cameo plus assist which made him a net zero point transfer for Nasri. Now I'm thinking he might be a casualty of the Torres move. Anybody have any thoughts on how might Chelsea line up next time around? Still 4-3-3?

My best guess is that they might line-up with Torres (R), Drogs (C) and Anelka (L) up top with Essien, Lampard and Ramires behind.

    Morning all.

So, Jafalad, you and I are both wildcarding from Saturday afternoon. Well, last night threw me up some unexpected curveballs.

Was going to get rid of Vidic for Rafael but now begining to wonder if keeping Vids isn't the better plan?

Was also planning to dump VdV for Modric but now Mods is out for the double gameweek I'll either have to keep now or downgrade to Lennon.

And now considering waving bye bye to Berbs and Tevez and saying hello to Van Persie and Rooney for the run in.

How's your draft wildcard team looking?

Nomar - I was thinking of getting rid of rooney -->Tevez prior to last night.

I have rvp/Rooney/berba at the moment and now considering berba ---> tevez.

Gw26 (ManC vs Wba) is worrying me.

      Thoughts?

Hard one as both Rooney and Tevez have nice games in GW26 before the Manchester derby.

I'm using the Wildcard to set my team up beyond GW27 though and when you look at their respective run ins Utd have a much nicer slate of match ups. So, I'd take Rooney.

One Utd striker is enough though, so Berbs for Tevez is a good shout. Also should put you in a good position to get Torres if he starts firing on all cylinders.

Hard to say. Neither 100% to start though looking at Arsenal's defence I'd plump for Djourou. Don't forget that the Arse aren't playing in GW28 so you'll have to bench all 3 or flog one or more of them.

Torres and Rooney both fell last night just as they become more desirable! Bet they rise again soon.

With 5-6 strikers instead of 2 in the running the prices may stay down. Everybody cannot have everybody.

Looking at it I think these short gameweeks are good for price changes, as all the transfers get condensed into 2 or 3 days, so more thresholds are passed.

My rival was one of those that sold Rooney (last 2 weeks not much) for Berbatov (this week not much). I think the imminent price drop was the trigger 🙂

Wildcard Modric out for 10 days. When your luck is out at this game there is just nothing you can do. Amazing.

I know how are you feeling Granny I was in similar position like you and the best thing to do is not to curse your luck. If you continue moaning it seems like it is going in the opposite way. Its something connected to the "Muprhy laws" I think. Its a bad luck but look on the bright side, see the problem and solve it.

        Cheers,

It's just funny that's all. Appendicitis! Modric was a last minute change to my wildcard team for the Bolton game next week. Hopefully he will be available after that game.

I've realised that WC now to save 2 free for GW 28 preperation is not going to work because in the whole of GW 26 including the international fixtures I know I'm going to want/need to make a transfer, so I'd lose my free one anyway.

      which begs the question.

why get modric, when he has never been a great fantasy option, and you'll end up having to get rid for gw 28 as arse-tott is canceled

It's all in hand, well it was.
Modric is 7.2m and a BP whore and the only way to catch my mini league leader is with a differential or two. Not going to go VDV like everyone else. He is there for the dgw.

I'm starting to feel sick when I see Bardsley's name now. 55 points in the last 10 games after I chose not to buy him but my rival did.

I watched the last game and Lamps had a great game. He will be good fantasy option if you are chasing. His output will increase. We saw it starting last game.

Lampard could have bagged a hatrick yesterday. Hard to say what Torres will do for his output. Will probably know more after Sunday. Also will be hard for Ancelotti to bench Anelka after yesterdays game. He was exceptional... dont think ive ever seen him play that well.

      For GW 26?

Aren't you concerned of Tot deep in form. No Bale, no Modric, they will struggle.

        i think it will

i think with no bale and modric harry may play crouch with vdv off him

also as said with neither of those 2 the chance of bps for him is bigger

and bolton look shocking at the back recently

    Morning All.

My oppenent played his WC last GW and bascially copied my team! he has a 20 point lead, so i need to use mine wisely.

    This is my team:-

    Foster, Begovic
Coleman, Rafeal, Simpson, R Johnson, Kolarov
    VDV, Nani, Fab, Adam, Brunt
    Van Persie, Berb, Tevez

    This is his:-

    Gordon, Myhill
    Coleman, Rafeal, Kelly, Hangeland, Dawson
    VDV, Nani, Fab, Adam, Walcott
    Carroll, Berb, Tevez

I was thinking of going for Rooney instead of Berb, or even Bent, any other ideas?

I had the same problem last year chasing my friend he had the lead and was copying my team especially my midfield. At the end I overtook his lead even he was 120pts 12 games till the end upfront. The best differential is captain, He can not copy that. So don't care about his team that much, concentrate on your points and you will come upfront and after he will care about differentials.

P.S. I must admit last year I sold Fabregas and Rooney for Lamps and Tevez. He copied but was one GW late. I bought them simply cause I fancy them for points. So relax and concentrate on the captaincy.
