        Oh saw the AND assists thing...well if you read the live commentary you usually get the answer. Alternatively try flashscore.com it puts the assist in brackets next to the goal scorers name. They get their info fed from the press association though and isn't always 100% accurate! Hope this helps...

            Really recommend flashscore too, I think it's the best site for scores. They are VERY fast and also writes assists, although since FPL have different rules they might be wrong.

      Yeah, could be a good option. Didn't watch the game but he hit the woodwork and will undoubtedly "goalhang" and hog set pieces against Fulham.

      Etherington also a good option against Sunderland if they play Kenwyne and Carew.

      Also like the look of Silva, although that was shot down earlier.

      Everton had a bright start, just like against City, but then they tried to park the bus again and didn't luck out in the same way.

    This isn’t solely directed at you so don’t worry too much, its merely a blast against the recent attitudes of some touchy thin-skinned United fans on here.

    Firstly I have never said you are on a slump compared to your rivals, I simply pointed out that you are lucky the rest of the sides around you were weak because this is the worst Manchester United squad I have seen in the Premier League, and unlike 2005 you don’t seem to have the resources to buy your way out of the problems you are facing.

    I only compared Manchester United to Manchester United, I find it more than a tad exasperating that the smallest objective analysis of Manchester United gets nothing but a testudo and denials from your fans on here, I have never said any ABU stuff so this annoys me.

    I have no problem admitting that this Newcastle side isn’t a patch on the sides of the mid 90′s, it does not make me any less of a fan.

    Oh and the ‘crisis club’ thing, well the only people I have seen use that phrase on here are you, Akers and Chill Pill. Only one of which is obviously not a United fan.

    I apologise if this seems a bit over the top, its not so much in response to this one thing, more a response to cumulative posts that have irked me a bit. I understand United gets some ridiculous abuse on here, but it’s time that some of you started looking at your club with a more objective eye.

        Main culprits really are AP, Akers and to some extent Granville, mainly because they are obviously some of the most known and respected Man Utd fans on here who aren't mental. It isn't meant to be an attack on them at all, more just an olive branch.
        They analyse other teams to pieces, supporting the biggest dog on the block means everyone is going to want to pick at yours. Its sort of a request to not knee-jerk into defence mode, if someone has valid points about Newcastle or whoever, then I will try and consider them. Sometimes the reactions are as if they are expecting a Stalinist purge if they show the least disloyalty.
        Granville asked for more restraint on the boards during the podcast, I think objectivity would go a long way to seeing that.

      I don't have a problem with you saying you think this is the worst Utd side since the PL started (but I've seen a lot worse before then, believe me).

      Great post.

      Thing is, the current stats don't lie. If within two years Utd have slumped to a mediocre mid table team (which we were in the 80s) I'd happily agree with you.

      Tonight they broke their unbeaten record.... in a league with insanity spending and a lot of top quality mid table teams and dangerous relegation zone scrappers. I think the fact that the 1999/2008 team reached such a zenith it's easy to compare this ones quality of football against it and criticise. This team is very much a different monster. I'm happy to agree to disagree, it's all part of the fun, and i can differentiate between the wind up ABU nobbers and the people who can actually think and put forward a good argument. I enjoyed reading it, nice one.

        Fair play mate, like I say it wasn't an attack.
        I can't help but go through man for man your squad and compare it though, to me it doesn't stack up against the old sides, however football isn't played on paper and you are getting the results necessary.
        Maybe the standard across the board was higher then? United had to be better to beat better competition?
