You can almost taste the romance of a Gameweek under floodlights. A midweek Fantasy deadline is upon us which presents the usual opportunity to sneak some last minute squad tweaks, armed with “actual real-life” teamsheets.

There are four matches tonight at the Emirates, Old Trafford, the Stadium of Light and the Hawthorns. Should you wish to gain the advantage of some early insight into the lineups from those games then the best place to source the information is our Dugout Discussion Chatroom.

    AGAIN, saha blatantly offside, blatant penalty for west brom not given. odem socres, thats another total 8 points between djourou and odem, not including possible bonus for both.

    Im finding it hard to articulate how annoying it is that the rules are broken and therefore screwing people in this game. Some guys (or massey) are getting paid alot of money to ref these games, teams put MILLIONs upon MILLIONS into their teams, hundreds of people working in some organisations, and it can all go to shite because of a linesman looking along the line, and missing an offside by 2 yards (absolutely still cant get my head around it, still holding for Mulder and Scully here). Then the blatant penalty missed by fat Dowd for West Brom....sigh.

    Everyone seems to ignore it though!!! Arsenal could have had their title hopes (the little they are) completely fooked tonight because of it? It literally takes no more than 15 seconds to check the tape- why not do it for every goal, then give the ref the go-ahead?

    We are all, ALL OF US, being treated like low-IQ primates, and that's a fact. There is a disgusting arrogance at the top of football, and a complicity in the masses aswell, in the way the accept this, whats doled out to them- primarily working class people- no co-incidence there then, its been the same throughout history.

    There is a sad fact that, if yuo picked up the average rugby fan versus the average football fan off the street, likelihood is, ones got a better education that the other. That's just life in fairness. Video ref's are used for 100% of tries in rugby that are even slightly questionable, because at the end of the day, people's livelihoods can be based on a split second knock-on, or failed grounding.

    The conclusion is that the FA, and FIFA, are like the catholic church (im a lapsed catholic) throughout the ages. Basically treating the common man like absolute shite, and not even allowing them to hear the church services of their religion in their own languages, until relatively recently (latin). It sickens me. It sickens me because people dismiss it, that it doesnt matter, get on with it, etc. But it DOES matter. It's what it signifies, the attitudes the inaction betrays, and the fact that for many, football is the one weekly escape from a life of pubs and factories, the world over.

    Fuc k you the FA, and Fuc k you FIFA, i hope you hit the skids like the Catholic church did, and i hope to god someone with cash in the world can make a rival organisation.

          Uber annoying. People - understandably may I add, I'm not having a go at them - bought Bardsley because he's a cheap route into the solid Sunderland defence, and then all of sudden, despite being one of the most defensive full backs in the league, he's scored twice and assisted once in the space of four weeks.

          Oh, and the one week where he doesn't score/assist he's subbed off before Sunderland concede.

          Bardsley owners have been ridiculously jammy over the past few weeks.

I have the prodigious Mr Bardsley in my team because when I saw him play (for real not on tele) I noticed how he got forward a lot more than I expected and was slinging in decent crosses.       As far as huge posts go, this is actually worth a read.

      I was at the Arsenal game (actually sitting in line with the linesman for the Everton goal) and I cannot believe what a joke it was. They even played the replay of the goal on the big screen, the linesman saw it, realised he got it wrong, talked to the ref, but then the decision stood! We couldn't believe it

      I've had him for weeks and weeks. All he seems to do is shoot from miles out and get booked.

      To be fair, the couple of games I have watched him, he's been pretty unlucky not to get a big haul (post again today) which is why I stuck with him.

      Might be a bit knee jerk but I'm starting to think Thomas/Odemwingie over him for the WC.

        I think crap is a little harsh. When I watched him at Villa Park his range of passing genuinely is good, and he puts some nice through balls through, albeit often to the Fortune's of the world. He seems to think he's on penalties in light of Odem's fails which could be good news for the DGW.

        He does tend to shoot from all over the shop and kick out when someone runs past him which can get annoying.

        Jara/Foley - good in theory - terrible in reality.

        not sure really. his set pieces are up there with the best in the league and if i wanted any player to shoot for me from 30 yards he'd be almost first in the queue. he seems decent in possession and he can pick out a through ball. but yeah i think his hammer of a left foot does maybe help him get rated higher than he should be

              I'm horribly addicted too, if anyone close to me except my mini league rivals actually knew how much I think about football they'd think I needed to go to rehab.

              Before I started playing FPL I still had the same interest for football, but I didn't think about it all the fooking time. Just read some articles and watched the game.

              Or if my family and imaginary girlfriend knew how much I look forward to the next deadline and set of games. God I'm sad.

            Well I nabbed it from Bonkers so all's fair.
            Not my strong suit I'm afraid. Though stuff like the propaganda of the American homefront is pretty interesting, as are the Japanese internment camps the Americans set up.
            Postcolonialism I'm stronger on the colonial part of it, basically we ruled the world everything was grand, lefty-liberals took over, we gave it back and now everything is in shite. 😉

    Interesting evening, my opponent has played his wc and basically copied my team. I'm 20 points behind him so need to use my wildcard wisely. We both have berb, do I stick, get rooney, or go for bent and use the money for lamps.
