Saturday morning dawns on us. The panic sets in as questions roll around scattered brains of Fantasy Managers across the globe looking for that last minute solution to that last minute dilemma. Pour yourself a cup of coffee and wake yourself up with your peers in the Saturday Surgery as we tread the minefields once more in preparation of another gameweek…
A quick brush over the week’s data sees that Carlos Tevez is well and truly Johnny on the spot for a whole gamut of Fantasy Managers – make of that what you will non-owners. A mini-frisk of this week’s fixtures sees good reason for that as City as well as Everton and Aston Villa have the bluest of fixtures on my home-cooked FFScout Ticker (what about yours?). No wonder the likes of Ashley Young, the aforementioned Argentinian and his Serbian colleague Aleksander Kolarov and the returning Tim Cahill (to name but a few) are in this week’s Scout Picks.
Perhaps come the final match of the Gameweek we may see Fernando Torres pull on the blue of Chelsea for the first time ever; and against his old club Liverpool as well. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale will clearly be heading to their local Irish on Sunday to see if it is to be, and if King Kenny’s men can make it four clean sheets on the bounce.
All this is gobbledygook, mind. We’ve got under an hour to go to make those final decisions once more. Personally, I clicked my second wildcard last night so each second ticking will see me fine tuning my behemoth of a team. Come into the Saturday Surgery and tell me what I should be doing, or ask your own deadline pushing questions, or, if you’re really cocky, point and laugh at us mere worrisome peons. The clock is ticking…
