A Gameweek that stretches out over an almost unthinkably long twelve days is almost upon us. With this the last opportunity to use your second wildcard (no one still has their first, right?), we now enter a pivotal phase of our Fantasy seasons. Rest assured, the Saturday Surgery Chatroom is here to take you up to and through the imminent deadline.

This has to be the trickiest double Gameweek we’ve had to negotiate our way past, with the Carling Cup final playing havoc with our plans. However, this period could be a defining period of our campaign with the wheat being separated from the chaff. How will you cope?

Captaincy doesn’t seem much of an issue though with double Gameweek players, predominately the Arsenal ones, topping our captains poll. In-form and injury-free Robin van Persie looks like the stand-out choice – if he blanks, the disappointment will bring our weekend crashing down around us.

Think this is going to be my team:

    Foster
    Johnson / Huth / Kelly
    Walcott / Adam / Fabregas / Barton
    Van Persie (c) / Tevez / Odemwingie
    (9 DGW Players)

Subs: Begovic / Nani, Vidic, Coleman

    Any obvious errors?

looks good to me mouldy, gotta watch out for kellys injury (though im playing him to) im also asuming thats rjohnson not gjohnson

you should be ok for next week too, youll have 5 players out so a simple free transfer will give you a starting 11, though no cover on the bench.. looks good

Fabregas red card today I reckon; overdue one; Arsenal most reds in PL; Wolves will frustate and Fabs will spit the dummy...be careful if you plan to (c) him

Is 7 dbl gw players good enough? Going to struggle to field 11 next week without a hit otherwise

      I've gone to Tevez, as

      a) I see him as being the player who has the biggest potnential to be THE match-winner of the fixture.

      b) I want to watch the game hoping that United will lose.

Make of that what you will.

Which two to play out of…

    Nani, Ferguson, Tevez?

Had Nani and Tevez in all week but starting to think Tevez will have a quiet one!

i sold tevez as hoping he will have quiet one too.
although even with dgw ferguson is at best likely to get 6 points.

I don't have RVP and the deadline I approaching. I won't be getting him because I don't want to lose Tevez and I'm not prepared to take a hit.

I feel like I'm driving on the wrong side of the road and there's a huge truck coming toasted me; I could just move out of its way, but for some reason I'm going to let it smash into me.

At least you seem aware of the massive damage that RVP, and the fact that so many people at the top of the leagues will have captained him, could have for you.

      God speed, sir.

If your on wc is it worth having a dgw striker instead of tevez for this gameweek then bring tevez in next week

Not for me, unless the striker you're talking about is RVP.

Then probably yes, depending on how much you will lose on Tevez.

I did. Won't need him now, but he has a double coming up in 29.

      Foster
Kelly Djorou Huth - Toure, Coleman
Cahill Barton Adam Fab - VdV
      RvP Odemwingie Tevez

RVP is on free kicks and pens as well as being in very good form

Fabs is due a haul but does appear to be playing deeper

I have both but think RVP is the better choice
