Just one Premier League game tonight (and the first of our doubles), but we’d thought we’d open the Dugout Discussion as it coincides with the return of European football. I’m guessing nothing less than a Birmingham City clean sheet will be warmly received on these parts, but hopefully an entertaining game in Italy will ease our pain if that doesn’t come to fruition.

Johann Cruyff talking about 2mor's games saying Arsenal will find it alot harder to keep possession because the teams in england are terrible at keeping the ball and cough it up after 2 to 3 passes and make it easier for them than it is for Barcelona playing against Spanish club teams

    I think he was making the point that possession in England isnt as important in a game like it is in Spain. So Arsenal have it easier and it will be more difficult for Arsenal to play "their" game v Barcelona when everyone in Spain plays that way and Barcelona are used of it.

        He's scored against every top club in Italy and Holland, and decided last year's El Clasico for starters. Scored against Spain and Italy for Sweden.

        No, I just think that La Liga in particular has a lot less strength in depth than the PL- can't comment on the others. I'd still rate Ibrahimovic as highly as rooney- both still struggle to ein big matches.....

    Off the top of my head there was euro 2004, Scoring goals which won Juve and Inter the titles, Euro 2008, The goals for Barcelona last year ( lots like the winner v Real)
    
    And this year where he is in double figures in both Goals and assists i believe single handely driving a poor Milan side to the title.

As a gooner, you have to realistic. Barca are awesome...but they can be outdone with pace. Theo Walcott is the key to the goons. I still hate Diaby for not sending that ball through to him, when we were 1-0 up at the nou camp. I think Pep said, Theo is faster than the whole Barca team put together. They do fear him. But, if Tho has a nightmare, I don't think we can get through them over two legs, especially as Theo is the assist king for Vp at the moment.
