The dreaded blanks of Gameweek 28 are finally upon us, with just over an hour and a bit to go before the weekend Fantasy deadline. Fear not however, the Saturday Surgery chatroom is here to hold your hand amongst fellow sufferers, until all this nastiness passes.

Now then. Will it be 4, 8 or 12 points you’re spending?

In case you’ve been living under a suitably large rock, three teams do not have a fixture to partake in this week. Whilst Arsenal and Birmingham City battle it out in tomorrow’s League Cup final, Tottenham Hotspur are left twiddling their thumbs and Twittering at home.

However, league leaders Manchester United have two fixtures this week, offering some solace to us Fantasy Managers in a gameweek that will, in all in all likelihood, test our resolve once again.

    Is kelly playing for liverpool? If not is it worthwhile taking a 4 point hit to bring huth in instead of him. I already brought in VDS in and Szczesny out. But my problem is that adam is suspended and brunt is my only sub.

      Spending 4 points on a defender is risky as they often just get 2 points. However Huth is probably the best choice as he is a goal threat.

    Ok, made 2 free trades. Going in with 10 players, IF kelly plays. No keeper. Have writtne off my h2h.

    At least I will give him a fright, with Tevez,Barton & Young on my bench.

    Best laid plans & all that have gone completely put of the window. Question is, just how much of your hard thought out world conquering ideas do you eject, in an attempt to field 11 players?

    Fabregas (sorry dude) & Etherington out, Young & Barton in.

      I wouldn't take too many 4 point hits unless it fits with a longer term strategy(and certainly not for defenders)> I am gonna use my two free transfers and take out Fabs and Walcott-I am just gonna hope that Kelly plays but better that(even with a zero) than a 4 point hit with the risk attached of conceding.

          My opinion: I would strongly urge you to use both free transfers this week-you have 4 missing players from the squad and doubts over 3 others. There is a risk Cahill is injured and Everton may not have a dgw if they draw with Reading.

    hi, i have 11 with Kelly, 10 without
    already taken a 4 pt hit, but want to bring in Cahill as well for FAB (i think Cahill will play and EVE just playing mid games, i think FAB will not play till after the BARCA tie)

      Not a bad shout-he may not play today but then at least you have a potential dgw'er in your squad. I'm actually thinking of bringing in Lampard for Fabs-just a hunch(and decent fixtures for Chelsea coming up)
