There may only be one Premier League fixture tonight but it’s one of huge significance, both for our Fantasy Football fortunes and on the destination of the Premier League title. Manchester United are the visitors, and Chelsea are the hosts.

With Chelsea fifteen points adrift and having a turbulent season, it’s United who are looking to edge closer to that 19th Premier League trophy. More importantly of course, it’s United who are featuring in their second game of the gameweek, meaning most of us are loaded up with their players.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open for business, and the team sheets are in…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, David Luiz, Terry, Cole, Essien, Lampard, Ramires, Anelka, Torres, Malouda

Man United XI: Van der Sar, O’Shea, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Scholes, Nani, Hernandez, Rooney

Sir Alex has named his first unchanged team since May 2008 (thanks Shreevesy), meaning Dimitar Berbatov is once again left in favour of Mexican sensation Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez.

As for the Champions, and they also leave a big name striker on the bench in Didier Drogba, with Carlo Ancelotti clearly hoping Fernando Torres’ supposed hoodoo over Nemanja Vidic surfaces tonight.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

That was the most enjoyable half of football i've watched in a while. It was men against boys, loved seeing Luiz bully Rooney, and Ivanovic bully Nani. Loved united players stropping around like little girls at the end when things weren't going their way.

Quality stuff by Chelsea. Also lol at all the united circle jerkers having their little circle jerk at half time.

    Rooney 3 bps anyone? lol

      What idiots.

Every United got near our box they dived then threw a strop when a free kick was not given.

Let's be honest. Chelsea were lucky. Never a pen for me and luiz should have been sent off. It's controlled first half. Second half was even. Utd will win the league. Make no mistake about that.

Robin hood effect isn't it? If we're going to talk about justice Rooney shouldn't have been on the pitch so Luiz couldn't have been justly sent off for a challenge on him could he?

Chelsea were the better team tonight, absolutely battered them in the second half. United barely had a sniff.

2 chances isn't alot to back up your point from a whole half of football.

You must have been watching a different game. Going by your theory then Rooney should have been sent off on Sat along with Neville's various efforts in the season. Chelsea are being second best by a long way in the second upped the tempo and showed that they still have quality when they click.

    Need some advice here;
Should I spend 4 points transferring out campbell? (suspended for next 3 gw)
If so, who should I buy. Unlimited budget. Have Saha and Berbatov.
Or should I leave the change for now and take the hit on campbells inevitible fall in value???

Well played Chelsea, as cliche as it sounds it was definitely a game of 2 halves! Vidic out really screws us if Rio isn't back in time, so I hope Fabs is injured around the same amount of time as RVP.

are people seriously thinking of outing Vidic? he only misses 1 game and it is a pretty good one to miss as i may not have played him anyway. Top scoring defender, plays every game, gone up £1m+ in value ths season with a good run of fixtures. If there is a case for letting a player sit on bech for 1 week - this is it.
    Thoughts?

So Luiz should have been sent off and Vidic was sent it off.

Rooney should have been sent at the weekend.

Does either of these incidents prove some kind of bias towards or against United? The answer is No

Just proves that refs and powers that be are extremely incompetent and indeed very consistent in being incompetent.

But lets not let this get in the way of the next 30min of certain United and Chelsea supporters convinced they can prove some bias against them either way.

    Let the nonsense continue.

Having gone in deservedly ahead, United totally lost their spark in that second half, Chelsea were much the better side. Penalty was so soft, from what I saw Zhirkov dragged his foot into Smalling.
My cup game is on the brink now with Vidic seeing Red and Giggs getting yellow. Exactly equal if Rooney gets no bps.

Hard to stomach that: Luiz should have got sent off - he's a right handful to boot (possible investment for the run-in?) and Chelsea would have sat back for the draw; not sure Smalling could have got out of the way of Zhirkov for that bloody penalty. Vidic should have got sent off a few minutes before - I'll hold my hand up to that.

Interesting game on Sunday v the Pool now with no Vidic or Ferdinand; and Smalling bearing some psychological scars 🙁

Luiz was holding his left hamstring as he went off, so wait to hear on his fitness before clicking the button.

Hernandez did nothing tonight to suggest he'd keep Berba out of the starting XI v Pool

Berbatov scored a hattrick against Liverpool last time out. I don't think Fergie will have forgotten that.

    Jeez, some anger on here!

Brilliant game, can't argue with the result. Chelsea dominated the second half.

Luiz looks a damn good FPL prospect I must say. Title race well and truly on.

Didn't see the game, so can't argue with it, my question is whether the bonus judges have ever given bonus points to a red carded player?
