With the gameweek deadline drawing in and the heat getting turned up on the comment boards, it’s time to open up our Saturday Surgery chatroom.

Those Fantasy Managers looking for validation, inspiration and a good helping of high-speed banter to see them through to the Fantasy Premier League gong, can check-in right here.

Our Dugout Discussion chatroom will open up at around 12.30 to cover the first of today’s kick-offs, as Nikola Zigic carries the hopes of thousands of Fantasy Managers on his lofty shoulders against the Baggies. Is it only me feeling rather uncomfortable about relying on the fortunes of the skyscraper Serb?

        Not a bad idea at all, on form you'd have to say one cleansheet, 9+ saves and unless of some freak injury 180 minutes.

        He was my 2nd choice after Saha, couldn't help but go for the higher risk choice.

    baines i understand, but he dropped evatt for him instead of vidic. so he's only fielding 10 men.

    Players new to the Premiership often take up to 6 months to settle in. But when a player new to the league has previously had a prolific scoring record and is starting to score goals he is of interest to us in fantasy footy terms. When said player is good in the air and playing against a team who have no clue how to defend set-pieces he is of great interest to us in fantasy footy terms. When said player has this game as the first part of a DGW is of enormous interest to us in fantasy footy terms. When said player is left on the bench we realise we know nothing about actual football.

      I jumped on him as well...! With RVP injured and already taking an 8 point hit because of Cahill (so much for planning ahead) I have no choice but to play him. Lets hope one of the other two get crocked in the first minute of the first game. Saha is made of glass so hopefully him....

    Zigic news is a bit annoying, he could still come on and grab a goal though. Goat a feeling this week is going to be frustrating after the good luck last week! Fully expecting Kolarov to be benched.

    I must admit, without sour grapes (!!), I'm a little surprised to see Zigic on the bench considering he has played full 90s in the last five games, and done reasonably well. Hopefully, he will get a good 30 today and then start at Everton.
