The concern surrounding Nani’s leg injury are building. Today’s story in the Daily Mirror will have resonated throughout the Fantasy realm with over 46% of Fantasy Premier League Managers fidgeting at the prospect of the Portuguese trickster facing up to a month on the sidelines.

The Mirror’s scaremongering doesn’t carry too much substance to back it up, but states that the club doctors at Old Trafford have been unable to stitch the wound because it has swelled so much. The healing process is yet to begin then and United have been unable to offer a definite prognosis. Rumours that Nani’s own tears rubbed further salt into the wound are yet to be confirmed.

Fantasy Managers will be looking keenly at United’s schedule and hoping for a draw in this weekend’s FA Cup tie with Arsenal. If that game does go to a replay, then both will have their gameweek 30 fixtures postponed. That will mean that United will next play in the league on April 2 at Upton Park in gameweek 31. If Nani fails to return for that, then we can expect him to aim for the April 9 gameweek 32 encounter with Fulham at Old Trafford.

United have today stated that an official comment on Nani’s injury will come on Friday morning at Alex Ferguson’s usual 9.30 press conference. Regardless of that, Nani sales are continuing in earnest. Over 42,000 have now got rid in the gameweek with a price drop from 10.1 expected within the week.

Elsewhere in the United camp, Antonio Valencia is tipped to see some action against the Gunners on Saturday having been omitted from Tuesday’s reserve outing, although Untied have played this down in today’s official team news release.

Valencia’s return to the fray as a 7.8 prospect in the FPL will need careful monitoring. Valencia is a favourite of Alex Ferguson and his supply was sighted as key in Wayne Rooney’s 26-goal campaign last season. Valencia notched 5 goals and 9 assists last term but has been restricted to just 2 league appearances this season following an ankle injury.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

so if stoke draw with west ham in the cup does this mean

stoke v newc and spurs v west ham would be off?

same with the other teams? or is it just utd arsenal?

Was discussing with MarkEstute on the previous page, Tose. He recknos that the FA Cup replays will have to wait until after the international break - Which will mean they will take place on the 5th/6th April. Man Utd (should they beat Marseille) will be playing in the CL on that day - which is why Man Utd/Arsenal have to replay the following Saturday - but their games (vs Bolton & WBA respectively) are the only ones under threat. In theory.

I think (not 100%, though) that the Utd-Marseille game is the reason that they couldn't play the Utd-Arsenal replay midweek.

Birmingham v Bolton would be 4/5th April so it seems Man U / Ars is the main one. Not sure about Man City though with Europa Lge commitments.

ok so really just best to wait and see then?

we will have a good idea of who is likely to be in the semis after sundays draw aswell i guess

thinking the last few weeks could be a good time to make up ground on the players that dont plan ahead too well

    KNITTING

Mildred has just dropped a stitch and had to unravel part of the sweater she was making. That's going to severely cost me, as I have her captain.

Meanwhile, Edith is performing solidly with some clever weaves, such as the box-stitch.

I think I'm going to pack in this Fantasy Knitting, it's just too much on my nerves. Plus, you just can't concentrate on enjoying competitive knitting as a sport.

I'm probably going to keep Nani in since beyond The Sun's 'expert' we've only heard 10-14 days. But with Valencia and Park returning owning any of their midfield could become risky due to rotation and I can't realistically afford Rooney if I want Lampard.

But the quality of the rest of your team is hit hard because of this. I'd prefer to spread my money throughout my team than have it in 3-4 players.

    Time for some Dipshit calculations:

    144 runs scored: 144 points
    1 six: 6 points
    Century: 30 points
    Strike rate > 100: 15 points
    Being dismissed: -10 points

    3 batsmen dismissed: 90 points
    1 bowler dismissed: 15 points
    4 wickets: 30 points
    Economy rate < 3: 50 points
    1 maiden: 6 points

    MOTM: 100 points

476 points, obviously 952 if captain. Fairly casual.

that guy utseya batting at 4 (dilshan's first wicket) is down as a bowler).
i'm not going to lie that was one of the most ridiculous bowling innings i've ever seen in terms of the dilshan v malinga battle. let the battle for 2nd commence

dilshan got -12 last match and has generally done enough for superdunny's nickname of tilakaratne dipshit to not look that harsh. ofcourse top of the league will captain him the day he gets his best ever batting and bowling figures in the same game. the 144 batting was fair enough, he's a great batsmen but to outscore malinga by 4 wickets and 50 economy points is just insane

I play in a monthly H2H and have a 5pt lead going into last GW of month. Not gonna make a move until after all these games, but...

Should I get an injured player out(Kelly) or should I finally get that sack Brunt off the team and upgrade to a Downing, A. Young, Kalou type?

Kelly out Djourou in seems obvious for now, will leave Szczesny and Nani as is, wait to see any new injury concerns, saving WC for say week 32ish, but something tells me a mid of Brunt, Nasri, Adam, Miereles isn't to threatening.

    Hmmmmmmm.............
