After the feast of yesterday’s eight fixtures we’ve got a relative famine this afternoon as we have just two games to sate our fantasy appetite this Sunday afternoon.

The Dugout Discussion swings open it’s doors once again as the two English sides knocked out of the Europa League in midweek are left to pick themselves back up and dust themselves down, starting with Liverpool at Sunderland.

The News from the Stadium of Light sees Danny Welbeck coming for Steed Malbranque as he makes his first start in over two months following a knee injury. Kenny Dalglish meanwhile gives Andy Carroll his first Premier League start in a Liverpool shirt as he (and Jay Spearing) come into the Liverpool side. The full teams are…

Sunderland XI: Mignolet; Bardsley, Bramble, Mensah, Ferdinand; Sessegnon, Henderson, Muntari, Richardson; Welbeck, Gyan

Liverpool XI: Reina; Carragher, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson; Spearing, Lucas; Kuyt, Meireles, Suarez; Carroll

After Asamoah Gyan and Luis Suarez have had time to think back on their long hot summer together we’ll be capital bound to close out the season as Chelsea host Man City as the two sides scrap for continued points in the fight for the Champions League spaces. With talk that Tevez may very well have undertaken a late fitness test on his groin plenty of managers will be hotly anticipating the results – especially those vicarious enough to hand him their fantasy armband.

The chatroom will be open through all the action as the Dugout Discussion is here to close out the last gameweek of the month.

Agreed. A real legend and gentleman. Still the only player to win the CL with three different clubs I think.

He's not very good these days to be honest though, very immobile.

He mixes those performances up with some real stinkers in my opinion. Watched plenty of Milan this year - keeping an eye on a certain Mr Ibrahimovic - and Seedorf tends to slow down an already slow team a bit too often.

I love seeing the nice players of the old guard having good games. Del Piero, Raul, Seedorf and the likes.

Nasri, he is surplus to requirements in my team now anyway, another poor return from him this week has only made the decision easier, to many cooks in that Arsenal midfield when Cesc and Walcott are back and RVP is adequate cover for me, I think Nasri OUT Adam IN is a good move for more consistent returns from Charlie Bonus Magnet Adam

Don't be blinded by dgw fever.

I have Nasri and I'm getting rid for Adam. Arsenal have Liv and Spurs in that dgw. I think Adam could outscore Nasri in his one game that gw.

Chelsea are the only team that week with 2 good fixtures, tbh.

IF they win there game in hand. (Brum (H)), likelihood is that they will, they are only 6 points behind Man U and they still have to play each other so thats 3 (With Man U's defensive issues (I know long time away etc.)) I think they will beat them, and then United and Arsenal play, and If you look at the other fixtures, they favour Chelsea.

Think you've probably missed the boat with him. I like his movement but he was playing almost as a second striker when he was scoring every week. Carroll's now back so he probably won't be quite as advanced.

His stats for the last two weeks are actually pretty good, even though his socres haven't matched up. He managed 4 key passes today, and his delivery into the bopx was looking pretty dangerous, I thought.

Certainly good enough for me to keep him for the West Brom game before selling him to feed my growing Lampard craving.

I really tried but I can't make a 11 that's both interesting and good with the squad he picked. Here's a try. I'm gonna go with a 4231 and give Rooney a shot at playing wide in the 3, like Ronaldo!

      Hart
      Walker, Dawson, Terry, Cole
      Lampard, Parker
      Rooney, Wilshere, Jarvis
      Crouch

Ahh, that's sweet. Ideally I'd have Smalling partnering Dawson in central defence but he's not in the squad.
