After our recent review of Player Manager, we’ve linked up with the organisers of the game to bring you an exclusive tournament offering something new to light up your season run-in. Perfect for the Fantasy Premier League Manager who has perhaps given up on his mini-league chase, the Scout Player Manager League offers £400 in prize funds. Interested? Thought you might be.

The League will start this weekend (gameweek 31) and will run until the end of the season. The league placings will be calculated using the best score from all your solo games each gameweek (friends leagues don’t count) and the best 4 of these determines your position on the leaderboard. With 8 gameweeks to go, you have plenty of opportunity to rack up 4 decent scores and, with best 4 of 8, it matters less if you have a missed or bad-scoring week. You can of course also enter as many teams as you like over these gameweeks, with teams costing 10 credits (£1) for entry.

Player Manager are giving away £400 of credits to the top four in the league with £200 going to the winner and £100, £60 and £40 going to the next 3 places (payout positions will be combined in the event of any ties). These credits can be withdrawn or left in the kitty for next season of course.

Those who wish to enter the Scout League for this tournament can do so by emailing “In” to this address scout@playermanager.com. Make sure you send it from the address you’ll be using at Player Manager. Scores will only count after you send the email. Sadly, Player Manager and therefore this tournament, remains available only to players in the UK and ROI. The game and league is also limited to those aged 18 and over.

In Player Manager, you create a “shopping list” of players and set a maximum bid for each. The players are then automatically auctioned in each league you enter. There’s no need for you to do the bidding; like eBay, your maximum bid determines whether you get the player and at what price.

You might want to take in our recent Preview and Review of the game for more background information, while Player Manager’s own FAQ section tells you all you need to know about playing the game. The game’s creator, Jason Bryant (Scout username “djembe”) is also on-hand to answer any of your questions – so feel free to fire away!

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

        thatd mean over the next couple weeks u also have to shift kolarov kelly and djourou (assuming u are doing arteta to dempsey) by gwk33

        this limits your transfers and also leaves u short if u get any more injuries

          I think hold VDV for one more game to be honest, Spurs are pushing for their best league finish in years, unlikely they'll drop their top scorer, even if they are in the CL quarters.

          Maybe just Bent>Welbeck, whats your defence?

    Foster, Stockdale
    Baines, Coleman, Kolarov, Djourou, Kelly
    Nani, VDV, Nasri, A Young, Arteta
    RVP, Berbatov, Zigic
    Bank 1.2m

    This plan seem ok?

    GW31: Arteta -> Adam
    GW32: Nasri & Berba -> Lampard & Gyan (4 points)
    GW33: Kolarov -> Luiz
    GW34: Coleman -> Dawson

          keith im trying to keep 2 freebies for the rest of the season incase of injuries so the plan atm is:

          rooney to rvp

          32 coleman to luiz

          33 gutierrez to ohara (i know ohara isnt playing that week but i would lose a freebie if i dont do it then)

            Probably not actually, I guess if you can afford to take out your injured players without hits in the next couple weeks then thats a bonus. If you can afford to do:

            GW33: Djourou -> Luiz
            GW34: Kelly -> Dawson

            instead of:

            GW33: Kolarov -> Luiz
            GW34: Coleman -> Dawson

            Then you should be looking sweet, with your above plan you should be able to afford it if you choose Welbeck instead of Gyan. I think they're 50/50 on points till the end of the season anyway.

              True, although then I'd have some serious coin in defence...

              Baines, Coleman, Luiz, Dawson, Kolarov

              Is Gyan on pens? Maybe Welbeck is the value call? Any thoughts people?

    Transfer help needed.

    My team is currently

    Hart
    Coleman, R Johnson, Simpson
    Fabs, VdV, Nani, Barton
    Hernandez, Carroll, Tevez

    Subs: Myhill, Downing, Walker, M Kelly

    3.7 in the bank, wanting to bring RVP in this week but not sure who for?

    One idea I was considering was Hernandez -> RVP, and Hart -> Cech (need to do keeper transfer to free up the extra 0.2 to bring in RVP) but this week Hart has a better fixture so seems a bit of a waste. So yeah, I'm a bit stuck for ideas, any help would be massively appreciated 🙂

      Not worth it for this week, damn you really could do with Tevez being unfit. I think wait till Friday for news on RVP then do Tevez>RVP anyway. Hernandez just scored 2 for Mexico, can't see him not starting for United. Hope that helps!

        True... If Tevez was injured it would be so much easier to get rid, but if fit it'd be hard to get rid of him on a week when he's at home to Sunderland. It's given me something to think about anyway. Thx for your ideas/ help 🙂

      Coleman. Walker. Then it gets tough. AE has the fix and plays in a better team provided he is safe from the likes of King, Woodgate.

      Kolorov has the potential to score big but not the fix or a team in form.

      Samba-BLB seem to concede too many and their recent form slump is worrying.

      Coleman, AE and Walker for me as they have the fix for the rest of the season.

              8 sub appearances
              405 mins played for them total
              2 bookings

    Hello!

    I am planning life for gw33 and after, so would appreciate your comments on this.

    a) gw33 ferguson => walcott/nasri
    b) gw33 play ferguson and save transfer to gw34 (to get huth + o'hara or someone for preparation to the next doublegw)

    So in other words do we think walcott/nasri takes at least four points more than ferguson in gw33?
    I'm thinking ferguson might get max 8 points, but maybe 4 points is propable. Walcott and nasri on the other hand might be a rotation risks and double fixtures aren't that great.

    Mini league leader has nasri, but right now I'm leaning toward plan b myself...are you with me?

    Cheers!

      Ferguson hasn't scored or assisted in the last 2 seasons. I would probably make the transfer as you are behind your mini league leader. Take the punt on Walcott as IF he plays both games which you will a better idea of nearer the time then he should get 4 more points than Ferguson.
