West Brom may seem an unlikely source of end of season Fantasy talent but, form and a batch of favourable fixtures for the Baggies over the final four gameweeks undoubtedly make them well worthy of consideration. Roy Hodgson’s side have hit the 40 point-mark and, while they are mathematically still not clear of relegation from the Premier League, the club’s outstanding recent run of form suggests otherwise.

One defeat in nine matches since Hodgson’s appointment has seen them average two goals per game, a big difference from the previous 31 goals in 25 games under Roberto Di Matteo. Considering they have one clean sheet all season, it’s fair to say West Brom have been reliant on the men up front to fire them to top-flight safety and luckily for Hodgson, he has the services of Peter Odemwingie to rely upon.

Odemwingie has had a dream debut season in the Premier League and with (AVL, wol, EVE, new) still to come, there’s surely some more goals in the Nigerian’s boots between now and the end of the season. The “Hodgson Effect” has had a big impact on his Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points output, too; he averaged a respectable 4.6 points per game (ppg) under Di Matteo, but has soared to 6.4ppg since Roy’s arrival.

While Charlie Adam has been hailed as the Fantasy bargain of the season, a look at Value (Season) in FPL shows Odemwingie has matched the Blackpool man, with both top on 28. Adam is owned by 35.4% of FPL teams but Odemwingie stars in just 12.1%, despite a ridiculously low price of 5.4.

As many Fantasy Managers look to get rid of double gameweek 34 players and with the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Arsenal all facing some tricky upcoming fixtures, a transfer-in for Odemwingie almost seems like a no-brainer; 4 goals, 4 assists and 8 Bonus Points in his last 5 games (a run including clashes with Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea) marks him as the in-form forward in the Premier League right now and a budget-friendly bargain at that.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

I know it's good management to not tell the other team the game plan or the starting 11, but they should do it for fantasy reasons.

I'm going to email sepp blatter, he always tries to find new things to whinge about to justify his position. I'm worried one day he might try 'why don't we play football with 2 balls on the pitch to make it more exciting'

can i just say for anyone with carroll there is no way in hell he'll play this weekend. who do you drop out? kuyt? nope doing too well. suarez? nope too important. maxi? after a hattrick, no chance, what sort of message will that send out to the squad. basically they're going to take the extra week of recovery time even if there is a slight chance he could make it. this will avoid a) leaving out someone who shouldn't be left out. b) changing a side that just won 5-0. c) carroll having to play against newcastle

Why wouldn't they want Carroll to play against his old club?

Attempting to catch up majorly and this 12pt hit gives me 0 in the bank so would have to do it today before Odem rises.
        Should I do

        A) Terry, Young, Hernandez + Zamora > Kolorov, Silva, Odem + Suarez (-12pts)
        B) Terry, Young + Zamora > Kolorov, Yaya + Suarez (-8 pts)
        C) Fabs + Zamora > Suarez + Silva (-8 pts) (with enough cash to get VDV in for Young the week after)

I feel the need for Odemwingie but I've currently got RVP, Bent, Sturridge up front. My only realistic league opponent has both RVP and Odemwingie.
Am I bonkers to consider selling RVP to engineer a differential between me and him? I have more faith in Bent and Sturridge over RVP considering the forthcoming tricky fixtures for Arsenal.

The Zamora vs Dempsey captain failiure put me 30 pts. behind my closest rival. I would REALLY like some help with my team, as I would hate to lose out to him.

        His team:

        Foster Begovic
        R.Johnson Vidic Luiz Bardsley Coleman
        Nani Adam A.Young Barton Dempsey
        RVP Odem Gyan

        5.5 in the bank

        My team:

        Cech Al-Habsi
        Djourou R.Johnson Carr Shawcross Baird
        Ethers Nani Malouda Adam Meireles
        RVP Zamora Bent

6.0 in the bank, one free transfer.

Thinking Ethers->Yaya this round. Sounds ok? Should I take a hit to get Zamora out, or just bench him?

        Thanks

Guys, can I have your advice please?

        This is my squad

        Foster (Bergovic)
        Johnson, Kolorov, Luiz (Huth, Djorou)
Dempsey, VDV, Adam, Silva (c), Lamps
        Rooney, RVP (Zamora)

I was going to swap dempsey for Y Toure and Zamora for Odemw .. but am now sitting on the fence ..

I have £0.4m cash and have one free transfer. I have won one mini-league and have a narrow lead in another which I am desparate to widen ..

        Options
        1. Y Toure for Dempsey and Odem for Zamora (4 point hit)
        2. Y Toure for Dempsey
        3. Other? eg kuyt for lamps etc

        Any help is appreciated

Nope, if he rises, he can fall, but he is on 63% and is not very high in the net transfers out stats, so you might get away with it, actually you probably will unless a boatload get rid of him today and tomorrow, and that is not happening at the minute
