The rise and shiners up and at ’em early are rewarded with another Dugout Discussion built around a triple-header of televised action for the second week in a row – and it’s a big one.

Another early West Midlands derby starts us off with Wolves playing host to West Brom and Mick McCarthy looking to capitalise on the lack of points picked up by his relegation rivals yesterday. Following that, a potter across to Stoke will then see Arsenal facing off against Tony Pulis’ men in our mid-afternoon kick-off

Then we head north to close out with what could prove to be the biggest game of the season. Manchester United play host to Chelsea and a win for United will all but guarantee a 19th title for Fergie’s men while if the Blues can pull the rug from under them then they’ll steal first place and leave a race for the title in the final two gameweeks like to come down to goal difference.

Line-ups from our noon kick-off after the break…

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Foley, Craddock, Mancienne, Elokobi, Guedioura, Henry, O’Hara, Hunt, Ward, Fletcher.

West Brom XI: Carson, Jara, Meite, Olsson, Shorey, Tchoyi, Morrison, Mulumbu, Thomas, Cox, Odemwingie.

The visitors bring in Somen Tchoyi for the suspended Paul Scharner while Jerome Thomas is back to full fitness ousting Carlos Vela to the bench. The home side also make a couple of changes from their last game as Matt Jarvis is dropped to the bench in favour of Stephen Hunt (“[he’s] bursting to play – I think he’s got a goal in him today” – Mick McCarthy) and Adlene Guedioura takes up Richard Stearman’s spot.

The Dugout Discussion will be with us through all this action until the bonus points get handed down and we get our jerking our knees.

    Well set up Andy.

People will be surprised to find out that I know very little about Adlene Guedioura. Has Stearman got a knock, or has Mick just had enough?

Stephen Hunt is a good choice. Wolves need his snap and enthusiasm today and I think he's much more of a goal threat.

Playermanager is pooo. I bidded Fletcher at 15m (he was 11th in my ranking) - just found he is in only one of my 5 teams and in the 4 others he went for btw 2 and 5.
Seriously dont understand this game as I end up with some random guys who were 30/40th in my ranking and for whom I bidded less than 5m

I've all but given up now this year. I was on a great run of green arrows and my target was to finish in the top 100,000 but this week has ruined it. There is no one you can rely on to get points week in week out unlike last season where you had Lampard, Drogs, Rooney and Fabregas banging them in. Bring on next season!!

If Wolves win this game they have a great chance to stay up, even if they lose to Sunderland.

Assuming Blackburn get beat by Man Utd, they will be 2 points behind Blackburn in the last game, so a win would keep them up.

This site is sort of a great example of United fans in general, some are sound, rational, balanced people who happen to support an immensely successful team. Others are hysterical little jessies who picked the most successful team so they could feel superior in something in their lives.

What about the unlikely scenario where Utd win today without the help of the referees. Who wins in that scenario? NO ONE!

      Have you watched Stoke recently?

Absolutely zero chance they will get beat 5-0 at home.

      1-2 at best for Arsenal.

Yeah but think they've got nothing to play for, will be focusing on the cup - and the style of football arsenal play doesnt suit them. Vs Theo and the other fast arsenal players they will struggle, arsenal aint gonna be knocking long balls and crosses in that huth can boss.

It depends really. A lot of the time I've watched Arsenal this season, Sagna has been crossing high balls into the box as the main focus of attack, do that today and they will get beat.

dnt forget that the brittania is the narrowest pitch so its hard for wide players to make an impact

and arsenal have been struggling all year long with spot kicks so its a big test for their center backs in the land of the giants

    19.

A beautiful day in Manchester, and a strange feeling of expectation in the air. The PL fixtures means more, much more than any other competition and today is the most important in my life as a United fan.

    Enjoy the game lads.

i liked how swooping kaka with lampard will reduce chelsea's wage bill
cnt see kaka going to england for less than what he earns in real, which is more than 150k

Having watched Real last night, I can't seriously believe that people actually think Lampard is better than Kaka.

I'd absolutely love it if that move went through, but it won't.

Lampard will probably still be a Chelsea first teamer when he's 37. He'd never go to another English club, and I doubt many clubs in the world would want to pay his ridiculous wages.

Howard Webb has awarded penalties to Man Utd in three of the last four competitive games he has officiated at Old Trafford.

Manchester United have won the last seven Premier League matches at Old Trafford that Howard Webb has officiated.
