A solitary game tonight for the Dugout Discussion as the last fixture of the [regular] gameweek keeps our cockles occupied this evening. “King” Kenny Dalglish has brought his Liverpool side on a jaunt down to London and seems to have left Andy Carroll in Toddington services – the gargantuan Geordie is nowhere to be seen. Liverpool Xi: Reina; Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Flanagan; Spearing, Lucas; Maxi, Meireles, Kuyt; Suarez.

The Dugout Discussion will be open through all the action as Liverpool look to assert their late charge into a place fit enough to earn them some European football – even if it’s not quite they would have hoped for.

    Shambolic defending from Fulham for Suarez's goal. In general his movement was excellent, but he had to do nothing special there.

      Oh come on, he sat on the shoulder, timed his run spot on while peeling away. He dummied Schwarzer and finished with great composure. A bit better than nothing special.

      Yeah no your right, Torres would have done just as well.

          Yeah thats true fella. Hangeland lost him but also dont think there was much he could have done. He was on fire tonight.

            No doubt, Suarez was electric all night. Your first half performance was one of the best I've seen in the league this season, up there with City's performance also at Fulham.

            The general movement, ability to move the ball at pace and with just the one touch, and the ease with which you kept possession was incredibly impressive. Will be interesting to see what Kenny does when Gerrard and Carroll - if he isn't already - are fully fit.

            I remember my brother (chelsea fan) calling and gloating the day after deadline day. I remember being pretty contented with Carroll and Suarez. For Torres sake I hope he's back to his old self next season.

    Closest rival had Hangeland and Hughes tonight, both returned a fine 0 score.

    His other defenders are Hart (1 so far) and Zabaleta (1, and could be benched).

    My defenders, Foster (5), Lescott (1 so far), Walker (2) and Luiz (0) look great by comparison 😀

    What a horrid week for defenders. Only four have 6 or more points (Distin, Vidic, Taylor, Johnson), three more got 5, three with 3, and the rest 2 and under.

    they need to sort the defenders points out, not 1 clean sheet this week, not sure ive ever started a week with more than 3 defenders...

      agreed, in recent years clean sheets have gone out the window, the stats back it up. My suggestion would be something like 1 point for first half cleansheet and 3 for the second.

      I think the PL should change to a square 'ball' ... this will make it tougher to score, assist defenders, and make it easier to see if Lampard gets another 2/3 of a goal next year. Sorted.

        i can se a 3.2 to liverpool maybe. Def won't be a 1 sided contest. We have only lost by more than a 1 goal margin twice this year. Plus i dont think they give liverpool pts for gomes throwing pts in the net

    my work mini league is falling apart. Its a H2h league and i was 10 points clear with 4 games left. I lost last week and will probably lose this week with rival winning both. I just needed one win out of these four games and now down to 2 games left... Problem now is i'm away for the next two weekens (wedding & honeymoon) so will have to do transfers earlier and then probably not at all for last week..
    At least i've won my cash (£200) mini league but the banter at work is just important.

    might be relying on him losing rather than me getting the one win needed. What makes it worse is that i have 150 + points more than any other player...

    Selling Suarez for Crouch probably wasn't my worst transfer points-wise, but it's by far and away the stupidest transfer I've made this season. Will probably end up buying Suarez back this week as well.
