There are reports today claiming that Wolves will go into Sunday’s potential relegation decider with Blackburn without striker Kevin Doyle. The Irish Times have stated that Doyle suffered a recurrence of his previous knee injury in the 3-1 win at Sunderland on Saturday and will now face three-to-four weeks on the sidelines.

Doyle replaced Steven Fletcher after 71 minutes of the win at the Stadium of Light and was looking well placed to come into Mick McCarthy’s starting lineup for Sunday’s crunch encounter. The report states that, although Doyle came through his appearance the weekend, he openly admitted to have been “playing through some pain for the last 10 of the 20 minutes”.

This will be welcome news for Fantasy Managers. Doyle was a troublesome factor to consider in the Wolves ranks given that Fletcher and Stephen Ward both look strong prospects going into Sunday’s game. Should Doyle be out of the picture, Fletcher would seem certain to start up front against Rovers, with Ward likely to retain his start in the support striker role. Ward is available as a defender in the Fantasy Premier League game.

There’s no confirmation of Doyle’s injury from Wolves however, the club’s official twitter stream today released a firm “No comment” verdict on the situation. Make of that what you will.

      Nani won't be in the CL final starting line up so he has a chance of playing at Blackpool, although not a great one imo.
      
      Liverpool are on fire but they didn't do much against Spurs, with Caroll back. Villa also won against Arsenal so may have a bit of confidence, that being said, they've been relatively poor all season.

Guys do i need to go for a differential if i’m chasing a 4 point lead, Rival’s gonna captain Berbatov so should i do the same and hope that my other players make up for those 4 points or should i get Tevez instead.

In my desperation to catch a 30 point lead, I find myself potentially getting rid of three of the most consistent points scorers of recent weeks.

RVP > Berbatov
Odem > Tevez
Lampard > Nani

Tevez and Nani will almost certainly be differentials, Berbatov is a possibility. I think it has to be done?

    As I said, I'm desperate. My rival has RVP and I doubt he'll be getting rid so I'm just hoping he does nothing. Unlikely I know, but I would rather finish 50 points behind after having a go, than finish 15 points behind having played safe.

      I'm in a similar situation and totally agree with your logic. Gonna do the same and go gung-ho this week, meaning getting as much differential as possible including RVP. I have Walcott for Arsenal cover anyway so I guess its a easier decision for me. 😛

    Man Utd players do have something to play for. A champions league final place. Sure it's unlikely to happen but it doesn't mean they're going to go out to lose.
    
    People seem to forget it is Blackpool we're playing. They leak goals like anyones business. Sure they'll probably score, but I'd bank on us scoring at least 2.
    
    Either way, I doubt I'd get rid of RVP for Berbatov. Who's your other striker?

  The odds are on him assisting or scoring this weekend as he has fetched a minimum 6 points for the last 10 weeks or whatever. I know Fulham have good home form but don't forget that they shipped 5 to Liverpool in their last game at CC!

  mate im doing the same, i have a 36 point deficit so im taking lampard out for maxi, sturridge out for berbatov(c) and maybe RVP for tevez, just hope it comes off, if it doesnt well iv finished second with 150 quid, good idea, your not going to gain 30 points with the same team, your either going to finish 1st or 60 points behind,

    I thought Odem had a thigh injury. Even if he plays St. James' Park is a fortress (0-0 versus Man Utd not that long ago, and probably should have won). I can't see him getting more than a consolation goal so I'd guess max 6 points. I reckon Berba could rake in 9 or 10 so it's a close call.

Let me see if I got this right!

So if you have three strikers(most obvious RVP&Tevez&Berbatov)playing and you choose to play Ward at defence, it´s the same thing as playing with four strikers plus 2pts per goal for Ward?
Please reply I´m confused about Ward´s role in wolves atm.

  That's pretty much it...Ward will get points as a normal defender would and even though he will play as a striker in the real game, he'll get extra points for clean sheets and goals on FF.

I'm chasing 24 points.
Rivals already done Nolan > Nzogz and has a front line of Hernandez, Odem and RVP.

Therefore if he wants Tevez and Berba it's going to cost him at least 12 points and probably losing RVP.

Should I just do the simple Suarez + Torres > Tevez + Berba and hope that he doesn't do the same or look for a differential?

  Definitely leave him on the bench. They have nothing to play for, he may not even start. Watch out for team news on VDV though, you may want to consider getting rid of him.

  Your team is very good so just depends how similar it is to your rivals.
  32 is a lot even with a good captain choice so id say you may need to change 1 or 2 of your team if he has the same!
  I like the Carroll to Berba move though.

      Yeah I'd stick with your defence. Looks ok to me. not great but it's pretty hard to find a clean sheet at the moment so just stick with your Tevez, Berbatov move.

A little bit of a problem with my defence (non of them will play?) although, my mini-league is wrapped up nicely. Taking hits isn't a problem what so ever, so I can go transfer wild. What would you suggest gents?

Just reached my highest ranking ever + 1st in the country (Switzerland) for 4 points. Bit lost with all the rotation/injury risks for last game of the season.
Don't really know what to do and not really willing to take a hit.

Defence looks bad atm (VDS, Foster, Huth, RJ, Luiz, Walker, Hangeland); I assume VDS won't play and neither should Luiz & Huth.

Midfield is: AYoung, Adam, Lamps, VDV, Nzog with VDV being a doubt... too bad, I'd have captained him

Frontline reads: RVP, Odem, Carroll with Odem being a doubt

How safe is Berbs? Tevez might be a better bet, isn't he? However, I like my attack, should I transfer in a good DEF (pb being they usually score less than Mids/Fwds)
