We’re delighted to begin the public testing of the new version of Fantasy Football Scout. From tonight our Members can get exclusive access our Beta Test server where they can use their existing login to view and use a test version of the new site and its features. To be clear, this is not a new Members site (although an upgrade to the Members Area is part of it), this is a whole new Fantasy Football Scout which will soon be made available to all.

Members can click here to login.

Please drop us a line (support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk) if you have issues logging in – we may have some teething problems with this so please bear with us.

The site currently in test is not yet complete but we feel we’re ready to begin getting feedback on the new design and, in particular the new comments system.

The progress to this point is as a result of months of investment and has involved a design development team who have worked tirelessly. I’d like to extend a big thanks to Ed and Sean our programming team and to Will our designer for their efforts and patience over the recent months.

This is just the beginning though – the work and improvements continue. The Beta Test offers the first glimpse of the news site as it comes together. The aim is to collect feedback, react to it as necessary, iron out any wrinkiles and get the new site live before the new season.

There are also bags of new features yet to go in – new injuries and bans systems, new team news layouts and a host of new widgets and features for members to improve their experience.

We’d be very grateful to those members who would take the time to visit the Beta Test site, take a look around and start using the comment system to leave feedback.

    I think it's crucial that your early captain choices are all in your starting team, so that come rain or come shine, whatever injuries or form force you into certain transfers, you'll be covered in the single most important aspect of the game for the opening stretch of the season.

    On that logic, finding a way to cram in Aguero, Lampard and RVP looks like the primary goal of the opening team selection then.

              RVP is a good option because he's involved in everything Arsenal do, and bosses all set pieces, penalties and bonus points to boot.

    I am assuming that the inordinate amount of time they are taking to get FPL ready means that there are significant changes. I hope that this does not indicate that they are making the game more complicated. I would hate it if they introduce something like in-gameweek transfers or even in-game transfers. I like the simplicity of the game as it is and the fact that once it "locks" at 11:30am Saturday your fate is sealed and you have to watch how it unfolds.

          I think FFS will only post article there twice a week in Thursday and report after the GW, so it will replace the Pundit, nothing special there. I don't think that is the problem. I will miss Fletcher 😀

      That defo wont happen, im assuming that they may be headin along the same lines of metro and introducing opta stats to enhance points system. Prob something like sucessful tackles for DM to improve attractiveness to buy ie someone like de jong.

            Hold on - once the management was sorted out at liverpool they improved significantly at the back. Shipping 9 goals in 10 games in a tough run-in (3 games against the top 4) with 4 clean sheets.

            That said, another tall, commanding meathead at the back wouldn't go amiss..

      I have read this article and I now think that Jovanovic is the most obvious misfit and the last and worst signing made by Rafael Benítez, and is therefore close to the exit door. For some reason I also find myself thinking that Rodriguez may be keen to return to his old club Newell's Old Boys, despite a fine end to the season in which he scored two hat-tricks. However I think Joe Cole is a top international player and he has a big contribution to make to the future.

        definitly either cole or maxi should stay, otherwise liverpool will find themselves without cover on the wing, since now they only have two real wingers, kuyt and downing. if injury hits, suarez will play on the wing and caroll will become their only real striker.
        id go for cole, he still have some years and tricks in him.

        but i see kenny going for a 4-2-3-1 asymetric:4 defenders- lucas- gerrard (center) adam (right mid)- suarez(deep striker) downing (left wing)- caroll(target man). with henderson rotating with the first 3 and kuyt with the 2nd 3.

          It'll be interesting to see how much game time Cole will get now that he's staying. No matter how many good words he has to say, Dalglish hasn't exactly been building his team around him.

            Is he definitely staying though? He's on big money and if a bid came in for him it would make sense to get rid. Wouldn't be suprised to see him at Spurs if Modric goes. Or a move to Villa would make sense, but then you'd think he might have been included as part of the Downing deal if that was going to happen.

      It is going to be interesting. Very hard to balance bringing in new talent/competition for places while keeping everyone happy and part of the team. Teams need players like Park for Man U.... Absolute quality, and contribute when given the chance but happy when not in the team.

      I'd join regardless of extra content tbh - I'm happy to get the insights of others more knowledgable than me and a bit of witty banter thrown in for good measure - It's a bit like tipping for good service in a restautant

      All that said I get that lots of other want a bit of bang for their buck, so see what's there, and decide if that's enough for you to part with small round down the local 😉

    As much as it's nice having the FFS team with their names, pics, twitter links at the bottom of the page, would it not be more useful to have copy of the main top menu instead? That way it would be easier to click on a certain link like team news, injuries etc without having to scroll to the top of the page - which can take a little while if there are a lot of comments on the page."

            The fact is that the e-mail I received was 100% real because it was from the FPL. I don't buy the other e-mails either but they definitely said mid July on this one.

    Tarrabt may not go to PSG now (equipe.fr).. great news if true in my team for sure... I think premier league is the most entertaining league in the world so why do so many players want to leave.
