Our Player Projections available in the Members’ Area are being updated on a regular basis as the pre-season rolls on and events such as Barton’s fallout and the arrival of Sergio Aguero move the goalposts.

If you’re new to the site – these tables represent the Scout’s predicted returns for Premier League players in terms of goals, assists, clean sheets and several statistics relevant to the Fantasy Premier League game. They can be accessed in the Members Area right here.

There’s been a lot of tweaks over the past 48-hours so, to help our Members get a handle on the changes made, you can read on for a list of the recent activity. You can expect further tweaks to the Projections over the coming days and certainly following the weekend’s final bout of friendly matches.

Arsenal
Reduced Cesc Fabregas’ starts and overall projection.
Increased Aaron Ramsey’s starts and overall projection.

Aston Villa
Another clean sheet added to Villa’s defence and midfield to take Villa on to a predicted 12 clean sheets for the season.

Blackburn
Ryan Nelsen’s starts reduced – Gael Givet and Grant Hanley’s increased accordingly.

Bolton
Added Tyrone Mears Projection. Reduce Greter Steinsson and Sam Ricketts as a result.
Added Chris Eagles and Nigel Reo Coker. Full revision of Bolton’s midfield projections following the injury to Chung Yong Lee. Mark Davies’ projection in particular, has been boosted.

Chelsea
Full revision over the squad.
Frank Lampard’s overall projection reduced as a result of his recent deep lying role pre-season.
Youssi Benayoun’s starts and overall projection increased as a result of his pre-season form.

Everton
Mikel Arteta’s starts and overall projection decreased.
Victor Anichbe’s starts and overall projection increased.
Jermaine Beckford’s starts and overall projection increased. Louis Saha’s starts and projection reduced accordingly.

Fulham
Full revision over the squad
Added Marcel Gecov and Pajim Kasami to Fulham’s midfield.

Liverpool
Reduced Jamie Carragher’s starts and projection. Increased Dan Agger’s accordingly.
Slightly reduced Luis Suarez starts and projection.

Man City
Corrected error with Lescott’s starts and projection – these have now been increased.
Sergio Aguero added to the Forwards. Mario Baltotelli and Edin Dzeko projections tweaked accordingly. Carlos Tevez starts and projection reduced slightly.

Man United
Slight tweaks to the projections of Rafael, Fabio, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez , Tom Cleverley and Dimitar Berbatov.

Newcastle
Joey Barton’s projection cut while his future is decided. A full revision of the Newcastle midfield has been made as a result.
Reduced starts and projection for Leon Best. Slight tweaks to Demba Ba and Shola Ameobi.

Norwich City
Reduced Elliot Ward starts and projection increased Zak Whitebread accordingly.

QPR
Reduced Kasper Gorkss starts and projections. Revised the defence as a result.
Added Kieron Dyer to midfield.

Sunderland
Slight revision to the defence.
Increased Stephane Sessengon goals and overall projection in the light of his pre-season form and continued role up front.

Swansea City
Jose Moreira replaces Yves Ma Kalambay as the goalkeeper option. Added Wayne Routledge to midfield and reduced starts for Nathan Dyer and Stephen Dobbie accordingly.

Tottenham
Slight tweaks to the midfield and forward projections.

West Brom
Added Ben Foster to replace Boaz Myhill as goalkeeper – saves and Bonus increased.
Removed Gonzalo Jara’s starts with Steven Reid/Billy Jones sharing the right-back role.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

More assured of starts at a better defensive team.

Fulham just signed 2 middies as well so can't see Briggs getting gametime once the squad are all back/fit.

Risk with Wilkinson is Woodgate starting and Huth being pushed out to right back but I think thats unlikely.... plus its only a matter of days before Woody gets injured surely!

Guys Mancini has catergorically stated that Aguero will not start the CS game. So at you/Mancini will only get maybe 30mins to have a look at him before the season opener (and he missed training yesterday with a stomach bug).
He's new to this country/league and with so much competition will he start the Swansea game? Probably not but I'm sure he'll come off the bench to ensure you get at least 1 point from him

Hate these final stage tweaks, you just know that whoever you take out will score a hat-trick on day one...

After taking out Van-Persie to free up costs I felt his replacement (Gervinho) was far too much of a risk despite looking solid so far, so now fiddling and putting Bent in his place due to likely penalty duty, then realising I don't have many penalty takers... Aaargh. 🙂

    Hey fellas!

Any United fans having major issues between Rooney and RVP??

I know a lot of fans who are including Rooney and my heart has forced me to do the same...but I can't help but feel that I should be picking RVP purely for the interests of the game. In fact the most sensible thing would be to pick Torres/Drogba!

I'm a Utd fan who of course is having issues over this.

Thankfully Arse have looked shaky pre-season (for what its worth) and havent invested in the team enough. plus all the off-field problems with cesc and nasri have made my decision easy.

Again i know its pre-season but ive watched almost all utds ames and roon is looking in tip-top form

Out of pure fear I have gone with both.

Think Rooney will have a blinding season but theres so many uncertainties over the other top teams strikers that RVP is a safe option.

Did have Carroll and Rooney but after closer inspection...I dont really liek Pools fixtures and/or form.

not too bad I reckon. Don't attack me for having Thomas - think he'll be a good pick this year.

Did have Carrol and N'Zog instead of RVP and Thomas but decided to go with RVP. Villa and Pool both have new look teams so think Il sit out and see what happens.

Both Villa and Everton have good starts but most people appear to be going the claret and blue route with Nzogbia/Albrighton/Bent being the obvious attacking picks.

Why the lack of love for the Toffees? I know they are traditionally slow starters but it could be different this time. Anyone having a look at Osman or even Saha.

he will rotate with wilson sometimes, and sometimes with woodgate when huth is played at the right (happenened sometimes last season although without big success) at the end of the season he will be making around 20-25 starts which is decent as long as ur not relying on him for points, after all he is to only be selected when playing at home. also shotton is coming in now at right back, with intensive practice on delaplike throws.

It will be interesting to see which players "The Scout" picks out in their first official FPL preview article (i.e. while unlimited transfers are still available).

Form a selfish point of view - or at least the point of view of people on here - I hope they don't hand on a plate to the masses the "hidden gems" that people on here have identified through research of pre-season games - players like Sessegnon, Moses and Benayoun.

It will also be interesting to see how much whoever is picked out increase in ownership following the article!

As for Benayoun there is no guarantee he will play. Everyone is waiting on the Modric situation as that will surely rule him out of starting.

    STEVEN TAYLOR

Currently in my defence and I couldn't be happier with him, the only thing I can't figure out is when to play him.

I know he is a spot kick taker and has recently been trying to get into a more attacking role, but with his first fixtures as:

    ARS(H) SUN(A) - can I play him before GW3? My backline is:

    Ivanovic Kompany Steven Brown Briggs

So basically all of your money is on ur midfield and strikers even though there's really good value defenders in there.

I understand people trying to be a bit different but for me, not having 2 big defenders is an error.

This is only my opinion, feel free to disagree, but I'd say Kompany has to be in there along side a Chelsea defender.

he not on spot kicks, he's a threat from spot kicks. and newcastle under pardew are unpredictable so either u get him to start him everyweek, or u will have a lot of heartbreaks seing him clinching goal and cleansheets on the bench, and conceeding 3-4 goals as a starter

£10m striker - Carroll or Bent? Thoughts please

Carroll is Sun (H) week 1 then Ars (A) Bolt (H)
Bent is Ful (A) then Bla (H) Wolves (H)

I don't want to waste a transfer on a striker for 1st few weeks since i feel the mids / def will need tweaking.

They are both overvalued at present and will have to justify the price with a bucket load of goals. Bent better fixtures but only goal points, Carroll is capable of a few assists too.

Do you have any other Villa players e.g NZogbia as if Villa dont win any of those games then you will lose out points of both players. If not then go for Bent

Carroll simply because Albrighton or NZog are so appealing in the Villa midfield. Away to Arsenal isn't that bad a fixture for an aerial monster like Carroll.

Totally agree that many are overpriced, but as some have previously said on here it is making it more important to find the differential. Personally I am steering clear of Nzog - not sure if he will cut the mustard yet. Albrighton is in my sights, but I'm just not sure how well Villa will do long-term. Bent has always been a decent goalscorer ie 15-20. that's the only reason I may have him. Carroll should do well, but 'Pool just not quite firing yet.

    Jagielka vs Distin
I've seen a few people include Jagielka in their team now that he can be easily rotated with Enrique (providing he moves). However why would you choose Jags over Distin? They're both equally nailed on, both offer a small amount of offensive potential but most importantly Distin is favoured by both the old and new bonus system.

So why would you pick Jags?

It's funny, there are a lot of peeps complaining about the whole RMT being too generic. Well what do you expect when we're all bouncing ideas off one another. Plus the majority of FF is common sense, look at the fixtures before you and adapt. For that reason there will always be similarities between teams.

On the flip side when I posted my team which had some differentials I was slated for taking too much of a gamble on certain individuals due to rotational risks.

I guess what I am trying to say is maybe if people are offended about these "generic RMT's" maybe they should just not respond unless they have something constructive to add.

Just my two cents worth, ignore it if you will gents 😉

they changed formation quite often last season to give a clear answer however:
-they play neville as anchorman and sometimes he fills this position
-fellaini is their box to box player but is injury prone so he fills his shoes
-when arteta neville and fellaini are fit he sits on the bench
-when cahill & fellaini are injured and theyr going with 1 striker, he plays as attacking mid
-moyes said there will be a new role for him this season

    Hi guys,

    I've been experimenting...

Using the Season Ticker and the Player Projection section in the members area I've put together a team that 'SHOULD' (in theory) gain the most points over the first 6 games.

    Given, Kenny
    Kompany, Collins, Jagelka, Johnson, Enrique
Ben Arfa, Taarabt, Lampard, Yaya, Albrighton
    Zamora, Aguero, Ba

Players are selected based upon their overall projection 'vs' ease of first 6 games, of course the price also comes into play.

So this squad plays for 6 weeks, then either make steady transfers for players that are projected highly for the following 6 weeks or use wildcard and re-do squad using same method, looking at games that lead to Jan Transfer Window.

It's purely theoretical, just wondered what your thoughts were?

    Cheers!

Yes, I think you've grasped the concept of fantasy football pretty well there, the only thing is you're using someone else's projections rather than your own, which makes it about 90% less fun

      Hi Bananaman,

It's a logical theory and I think your squad looks good.

Don't want to be a douche but there is a reason why the projections are only available to members. Be careful how much information you want to give away on the comments.

    Any Spurs fans??

What's the deal with your defence. Who's starting?

Hutton? Bassong? Dawson? AssouEkotto? Gallas? Corluka?

    Cheers!!

Corluka King/Gallas (usually Gallas) Dawnson AssouEkotto

Lots of speculation on here that Kyle Walker will be first choice right back but I dno't see it, there's also Hutton and Kaboul.
