Our Player Projections available in the Members’ Area are being updated on a regular basis as the pre-season rolls on and events such as Barton’s fallout and the arrival of Sergio Aguero move the goalposts.

If you’re new to the site – these tables represent the Scout’s predicted returns for Premier League players in terms of goals, assists, clean sheets and several statistics relevant to the Fantasy Premier League game. They can be accessed in the Members Area right here.

There’s been a lot of tweaks over the past 48-hours so, to help our Members get a handle on the changes made, you can read on for a list of the recent activity. You can expect further tweaks to the Projections over the coming days and certainly following the weekend’s final bout of friendly matches.

Arsenal
Reduced Cesc Fabregas’ starts and overall projection.
Increased Aaron Ramsey’s starts and overall projection.

Aston Villa
Another clean sheet added to Villa’s defence and midfield to take Villa on to a predicted 12 clean sheets for the season.

Blackburn
Ryan Nelsen’s starts reduced – Gael Givet and Grant Hanley’s increased accordingly.

Bolton
Added Tyrone Mears Projection. Reduce Greter Steinsson and Sam Ricketts as a result.
Added Chris Eagles and Nigel Reo Coker. Full revision of Bolton’s midfield projections following the injury to Chung Yong Lee. Mark Davies’ projection in particular, has been boosted.

Chelsea
Full revision over the squad.
Frank Lampard’s overall projection reduced as a result of his recent deep lying role pre-season.
Youssi Benayoun’s starts and overall projection increased as a result of his pre-season form.

Everton
Mikel Arteta’s starts and overall projection decreased.
Victor Anichbe’s starts and overall projection increased.
Jermaine Beckford’s starts and overall projection increased. Louis Saha’s starts and projection reduced accordingly.

Fulham
Full revision over the squad
Added Marcel Gecov and Pajim Kasami to Fulham’s midfield.

Liverpool
Reduced Jamie Carragher’s starts and projection. Increased Dan Agger’s accordingly.
Slightly reduced Luis Suarez starts and projection.

Man City
Corrected error with Lescott’s starts and projection – these have now been increased.
Sergio Aguero added to the Forwards. Mario Baltotelli and Edin Dzeko projections tweaked accordingly. Carlos Tevez starts and projection reduced slightly.

Man United
Slight tweaks to the projections of Rafael, Fabio, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez , Tom Cleverley and Dimitar Berbatov.

Newcastle
Joey Barton’s projection cut while his future is decided. A full revision of the Newcastle midfield has been made as a result.
Reduced starts and projection for Leon Best. Slight tweaks to Demba Ba and Shola Ameobi.

Norwich City
Reduced Elliot Ward starts and projection increased Zak Whitebread accordingly.

QPR
Reduced Kasper Gorkss starts and projections. Revised the defence as a result.
Added Kieron Dyer to midfield.

Sunderland
Slight revision to the defence.
Increased Stephane Sessengon goals and overall projection in the light of his pre-season form and continued role up front.

Swansea City
Jose Moreira replaces Yves Ma Kalambay as the goalkeeper option. Added Wayne Routledge to midfield and reduced starts for Nathan Dyer and Stephen Dobbie accordingly.

Tottenham
Slight tweaks to the midfield and forward projections.

West Brom
Added Ben Foster to replace Boaz Myhill as goalkeeper – saves and Bonus increased.
Removed Gonzalo Jara’s starts with Steven Reid/Billy Jones sharing the right-back role.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Yes but I don't think the risk is worth it.

In easy games, it'll be just like AVB to start with Cole, Luiz, Terry, Bosingwa and attack down the wings.

Those are the sort of games you need him to be playing, and he is not guaranteed.

I don't see Bent more than N'Zog. I understand Bent is more expensive and of cuz competing with others (Rooney, RVP, Carroll, Suarez, etc.)

But look, Villa has one of the easiest fixtures for the first 10 or so weeks and he is a PROVEN goal scorer.

Why not people considering him in their lineups?

Interesting Aston Villa lost to Wolves 1-0 at home last season (GW2 opponents) and beat Blackburn 4-1 but Bent did nothing.

That's my problem with him really - yes, he will score goals but they are hard to predict adn if he doesn't score he doesn't really contribute. Hence, you wouldn't captain him with any confidence and for £10m+ I want a potential captain.

Bent wasn't at Villa at that time. There are very similar counter examples to pick for many players like that.
My point is he is a consistent striker in a decent club. He proved his worth last season and while he was at Sunderland as well.

He was at the club at the time, but that's not really my point.

You can look back over the season and say "Bent scored a lot of goals" and if he was, say, £8m he would be a great pick for a reliable player to just leave in your team. But for £10m I want a player I can captain at a team who I can rely on to steamroller weaker opposition at home.

Bent scores 2 goals away at Arsenal, 2 goals away at Everton and does f all at home to Wigan.

Bent has never been a sexy choice as a striker, plus playing for Sunderland and now Villa hasn't put him in with high scoring teams. With 10 mil price tag now, people might not see him as value for that kind of money. Howevwer, has been the most consistent English striker for the last 3 years. Could be a good differential - I have him in my team with Suarez at the moment...

My first and only RMT till the 12th:

    Hart (Ruddy-unused sub)
    A Cole, Baines, Kompany,(Enrique, D Simpson)
    Silva, NZogbia, Albrighton, Taarabt, Moses
    Bent, Zamora, Rodagella

I Realise I am missing the usual suspects Rooney, RVP etc but feel that Zamora and rodagella will score much better points per pounds. Same reason I believe investment in A cole and baines is worth my fantasy pounds. Not entirely happy with midfield as I am not sure on Silva, possibly thinking Silva > YToure and Albrighton>Modric for a bit of a differential and to reduce villa coverage.

Any thoughts? More than happy to discuss points raised

Like Hart. Ruddy will do the job too. Loads of money in defence but strong players.

Silva is banging, I'd maybe lose one of Nzog or albrighton. Strikers look fine although id question your lack of champion cover United)

i like your team. instead of simpson i'd choose a sunderland def since they rotate well with liverpool (and also sunderland if enrique happens to stay)

apart from that i'd recommend ohara instead of taarabt until you see taarabt's quality in the prem (or not perhaps) - plus o'hara rotates well with moses for first 12 games

Yes, you got it, my focus this season is home and away rotation of my subs!

Thanks for the reply mate !

Take your point on Simpson, could well upgrade to O Shea which rotates well wih enrique at liverpool if it happens, possibly spare up some cash with tarrabt to ohara.

Good reasoning..and people having either Rooney,RVP or Drogba are thinking of switching to either of your strikers after GW1.

Not sure about the 3 Villa attackers. Would maybe look to get in either Kun or Tevez and downgrade Silva. And alot of money tied up in Cole, Baines, Kompany & Hart.

Interesting team though, different to most posted on here 🙂

3 Villa attackers is more the first 6 weeks in mind till the dust settles, I will more than likely straight swap Bent to Hernandez when the fixtures ease up a bit. Sticking with Nzobia and albrighton till I know what Benyaoum at chelsea is doing !

i think later in the season it will turn out that the best value players are attackers (usually cheap ones who go on good runs a la odemwingie, adam last season)

but right now we don't know who the odemwingies and adams will be so IMO it's fine to bulk up on what you see as safe options in defence.

    Kompany - Rafael - Hughes (Simpson/Orr)

Taarabt - Silva - Malouda - Moses (Sessegnon)

    Rooney - Carroll - Rodallega

hmmm, dont like it.. dont know why

yeah shoddy photoshop paint job, he's a must at 5.0 at pool tbh... i doubt ill keep that team, ill drop a mid and upgrade in the appropriate areas but it does look decent, hate squashing a team, nice to have at least 1 decent sub

Anybody out there have Chelsea coverage, if so, who do you currently have??

I have Malouda and A.Cole but I'm kind of nervous about keeping Malouda. I would much rather have Lamps but I dont really have the extra 1.5 to go around.

My attempt to get in big hitters from the top 5 sides-

    Given Ruddy
    Kompany Bramble Salgado Simpson Orr
    Malouda Silva Moses Ephraim Dyer
    Rooney VanPersie Carroll

Was just playing around, but it's not terrible I suppose!

It's not very balanced unfortunately. Defence is weak IMO but you can almost get away with it....the midfield on the other hand is way too risky.

No need to have so much money in your stikers. 2 big hitters with a lower end striker as your 3rd option should be sufficiant and it'll give you more funds for your middle or defense.

I'm thinking of putting Joe Hart into my team. Expensive, but in such a good team he should score quite a few. 6 points for a goal from a goalkeeper or a defender. Should be looking at a few of them from Hart right? I might be wrong, unfortunately never had a trial for a premier league team.

it's alot of money to invest in a player who is not guaranteed a start. Plus it's a key position (striker). last thing you want 1st day of the season is worrying if one of your key players will start or not.

that's my point. You are sitting here debating how long drogba will play or whether he will even start.

drogba is very expensive and he starts away to stoke which you would assume will not be a goal fest for chelsea. I would seriously wait a couple of games to see chelsea's formation and team before you select Drogba.

You could go by last seasons team they picked but you have to remember it's a NEW manager and he has new ideas and new tactics.

My point is you will have so much money invested in someone that you are not sure will even start. Is it worth it? No. Would it be wise to invest elsewhere, on someone who actually will play and potentially will last 90mins?

Drogba - Rooney is probably nailed on.

Hernandez is injured, berbatov will most likely start home games whilst welbeck and owen are not likely to start the season and are most likely to be used as subs

Rooney is the key man when fit
