From MI6 to the CIA, never has there been such rigid protection of confidential information than that surrounding Mark’s initial Fantasy squad. So, when super-secret agent himself joined me in the studio for our first podcast of the season, I was resigned to getting thrown the odd teasing titbit but little else.

However, it was to my very great surprise that he’d gone and left the proverbial back door open, there, “live” on air, he handed me a laptop giving me open access to his team on screen right in front of me. Since I was already in the house, he reluctantly decided to show me around.

An unexpected twist to our first podcast of the season and, dare I say it, a rare privilege for the listener.

Listen in and feel free to disagree.

    PODCAST!!!!

    The wife will be happy!!

Not sure if's been mentioned as I only just came online line but a quote from Cameron...
However, Prime Minister David Cameron told parliament the other London matches - QPR v Bolton Wanderers and Fulham v Aston Villa - could be given early kick-off times.

"As I understand it, subsequent to that, it's been decided that the Tottenham game against Everton should be postponed but as I understand it the intention is that other games in London, the start of the Premier League season, should go ahead but perhaps starting earlier in the day.

So we may get line-ups befroe the deadline??

Oops posted this second to last on the last post!...

Ahoy hoy, I’m off on holiday in a bit so need to sort the team out now! Any advice on the below?

    Given (Al-Habsi)
    Cole, Kompany, Enrique, Briggs, Gabbidon
    Nani, Taarabt, N’Zogbia, Moses, Barton
    Bent, RVP, Zamora

my jaunty partner in Jontyness...have a good holiday.

Meanwhile I like the team...although massive question mark over Barton..maybe consider another good 6m punt...Ohara, Walters or Sinclair spring to mind.

I think Briggs is a big doubt to get games reglarly...consider another 4m that will actually play - Simpson at newcastle perhaps.

also be aware that Enrique will probably not play this weekend.

      other than that...it's tickety boo.

    a) Cole & Kompany, or
    b) Lescott & Ivanovic

I know a) is completely nailed on starters each week, but I’d say b) is 95% to both start each week and they are considerably more attacking….

Best players for values from each of the big boys:

Man Utd: Valencia (but not a guarenteed starter). Rooney probably vital as you know he'll play and is a big point hitter.

Man City: Kompany. However, attacking-wise who bloody knows who'll play? If they get bloody Nasri even Silva ain't safe. I'd love to get Aguero in, but he probably won't be a guarenteed starter.

Chelsea: Absolutely no bloody idea. Only Cole looks like a guarenteed points gatherer and starter.

Liverpool: Loads of bargains here - Downing, Suarez and Enrique.

Arsenal: I have to say that on RVP looks like he's worth even considering. Everyone else is rubbish or dead.

He did well last season, hoping he can do the same and like you say he should play. Replacements aren't so much of a worry when you can save up a transfer and then do two in one week, easy to swap value around. To fit Silva in I'd need a few downgrades which I don't want to do as all my players are pretty influential for their clubs. The biggest doubt there is probably Drogba.

Playing a different game, you score points in every competition including european ones. Huth or Enrique? Enrique is 1.5m cheaper but I cant find anywhere I want to spend that money, also this is a season decision as there are only 2 transfer windows.
